The Psalm 83 confederacy in the news

It is amazing to me that the leadership on this planet seems to be compelled to work toward an exact fulfilment of prophecy. It’s almost as if they can’t help themselves!

When they use terminology that is right out of a three thousand year old book, it is startling!

This week I was shocked to see the headlines read “Is Jordan-Palestine Confederation Back on Negotiating Table?

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas welcomes King Abdullah II in Ramallah on December 6, 2012. (photo credit: Issam Rimawi/Flash90)

This same confederacy is spoken of in the opening verse of Psalm 83;

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee Psalms 83:5

I am convinced that this is the very same confederacy as that spoken of in the Psalm. It is not in its final form, obviously, but it is taking an embryonic form.  Notice also that this confederacy is primarily against God.  This is why all the peace negotiations in the world will not bring peace to the Middle East.  Israel, being the “apple of God’s eye” is square in the sights of the haters of God!

A lot can, and will, happen before it reaches its final form. King Abdullah, pictured above with Mahmood Abbas, may not even still be on the throne when the confederacy comes to fruition. It’s hard to say.

The psalm lists the confederacy thusly;

6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; 7Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; 8Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot.

The biblical Philistines, from whom the Palestinians get their name, were the inhabitants of Gaza, and its surrounding towns. Edom, Moab, and Ammon, are the three tribes who make up the modern nation of Jordan.

As I said, the confederacy is not quite put together just yet. The Ishmaelites are the Saudi Arabians. They are intensely interested in the current events of the Middle East, but are not yet officially a part of this confederacy.

Gebal and Tyre are cities of Lebannon. They are currently controlled by Hezbollah who are bitter enemies of the Sunnis of Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Their grip on Lebannon is tenuous. I would not be surprised to see them lose control to a Sunni group, or be taken over by Sunnis themselves.

Amalek? Who ever heard of Amalek today? They are the Arabs of the Sinai peninsula, an Egyptian possession. Today they are smuggling weapons through tunnels into Gaza. These people will ultimately drag Egypt into this confederacy.

The Hagarenes are a puzzle to many. Hagar was Ishmael’s mother, and Abraham’s concubine. Some have speculated that since Hagar came from Egypt, that the Hagarenes might represent Egypt. The bible actually tells us where the Hagarenes used to live.

People don’t tend to move about a lot. There is usually an attachment to a certain plot of land. Even when people are taken in captivity there is the tendency for them to return, given the chance.  In this case it is the area known as the Golan heights, or the biblical land of Gilead, and I am sure there is a contingent of Hagarites, or Hagarenes who still live there.

And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of GileadI Chronicles 5:10

The land of Gilead (the Golan) is split today between Israel and Syria, and has been since Israel took 30% of it during the 1967 war. The Syrians have been agitating to have Assad start a war with Israel to get that land back. They think it belongs to them. Since Assad has been reluctant to risk his throne in such a venture, the Islamists have been rebelling since early last year. They will succeed before Syria joins this confederacy.

This tells us where they lived, but who were they?

And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.I Chronicles 5:19

Genesis 25:15 lists Jetur and Nephish as two of the sons of Ishmael, and thus patriarchs of tribes who left the main body of Ishmaelites, after some dispute with their brothers. Nodab was likely a son of one of the other brothers, thus representing only part of a tribe.

This leaves Assur. Assur was the name of the patriarch of Assyria. This nation is known as Iraq today, specifically the northern portion. Those who follow the news will know that Iraq’s government is closely aligned with Iran. There are Sunni rebels in Iraq, however, who are presently preoccupied with the overthrow of Assad, next door in Syria. Once he is dealt with they will turn their full attention toward Iraq. The US intervention there didn’t accomplish much.

Even today, if you pay attention to the news, you will hear of regular terrorist attacks in Iraq.

These are the nations of the Psalm 83 confederacy. Iran, Turkey, Russia and Libya are conspicuous by their absence. Their turn will come later during the Gog/Magog war. Something is about to happen that will cause these nations to sit out this war. I expect this “thing” to occur in the next few years, and as yet, I am not sure what it will be. I’m open to ideas.

What will be the result of the Psalm 83 war? The Psalm is not explicit, but I think you can find the results in places like Isaiah 17:1, and 19:18, and Zechariah 11:1 & 2. In short, it will be a major loss for Islam. The world will be shocked, and Israel will have several years of peace in the aftermath. That peace will last until the armies of the Gog and Magog alliance attack, in such a magnificent war that it will be confused with Armageddon!  And that, is Satan’s plan!

The Rapture of the Church in the Old Testament

A great many professing Christians are questioning the Rapture of the Church these days, especially the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, taught by dispensationalists.  If, however, the Tribulation is about Israel, and her relationship to her God, then the rapture has something to do with Israel, and it must be present in the Old Testament, the part of the bible they will read.  Here’s what I wrote in The Spirit of Prophecy regarding the Rapture in the Old Testament;

“During the last seven years of Daniel’s seventy weeks, the Lord will revert to dealing with the nation of Israel as He did in the Old Testament. To do this He must first remove the Church from this planet. This event is known as the Rapture of the Church. This word comes from the Greek “harpazo”, translated into Latin as “rapere” or “raptus” which means to snatch or take by force. This word is translated in English as “caught up” in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. (Stewart, Study of Harpazo)(PRETRIBULATION RAPTURE, Rapture Ready)

There is another reason that the Lord will remove the Church from the earth. That reason is found in the writings of Moses, of all people!

They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation. (Deuteronomy 32:21)

This verse poses a riddle which is answered by the Church. The apostle Paul quotes this verse in Romans 10:19 and identifies the “people who are not a people”, and “a foolish nation” as the Church of Jesus Christ. Christians come from all the tribes of the earth, not from any one people group, so we are a “People that are not a people”. We are considered foolish by the unsaved and especially the Jews because of the large number of denominations who identify themselves as Christian.

Paul does not specifically state how the Lord will make Israel jealous, but He does give clues. A few years ago I was lying in bed one Saturday morning and I was meditating on this verse. I thought to myself “It is nearly two thousand years since the founding of the Church, and Israel is still not jealous.” Now it is true that some Jews see the love of Christians for each other, and also for them, and come to Christ as a result, but the majority of Israel are still far away from God. They are not jealous. As I thought this thought the answer suddenly came to me; “The Rapture”! No I did not hear an audible voice, it was just a thought, but as I investigated, I became convinced that it was a thought given to me by God Himself.

As I meditated I realized we do not get jealous unless we see someone receive a favour that we perceive as unmerited, which we do not receive ourselves. When a parent shows favour to one child and not to another, the second child becomes jealous. To date, Israel has not seen the Christian world receive any great favour from God. When Christians die they immediately go to be with Jesus in Heaven, but this is something Jews do not actually see. To them, Christians live much the same way as Jews. We have to work for a living and we get sick and die in the same way as anyone else.

Israel will become jealous when God Himself shows a great favour to the Church, that He does not show to Israel. When He snatches His bride from off this earth, at a time that He is about to bring unimaginable horrors to those who are left, Israel will be as jealous as a wife who is left at home, to mind the children, while her husband goes out and marries a second woman! What’s more is that the Church does not deserve this favour, and they know it, as does Israel.

Every truly born again, regenerated believer in Christ will be caught up in the rapture including all gentile and Jewish believers. For one moment of one day the world will be full of unsaved people! There will be believers among them, but you can believe in the true God without being saved. Many of those unsaved persons think they have a special place with God. When they realize that they have been left behind they will become jealous. This will not only be the reaction of Israel but, I believe, of nominal Christians around the world. This event will cause these people to search the Scriptures like never before!

Note that in order for this interpretation to be true, the rapture must occur before the Great Tribulation period. Otherwise this jealousy of Israel would occur on Judgment day. God is not interested in making Jews jealous as he tosses them into the Lake of Fire. Everyone in that predicament will be jealous of the saints, not merely the Jews. The jealousy spoken of in Deuteronomy is for a purpose: to bring natural Israel to Christ!

It is true that the Gospel was initially given to Israel, and the apostles were obedient and preached it to Israel and the Gentiles, however, shortly thereafter the Jews dropped the ball, as it were, and it was picked up by the Gentile Church. Since that time the missionary work of the Church has largely been done by Gentile Christians. This is “the times of the Gentiles” that Jesus spoke about in Luke 21:24. Did it end in 1967 when Israel retook Jerusalem? I’m not sure. It may have began ending at that date, but Israel does not yet control the Temple mount. Regardless of the timing, there is definitely a “times of the gentiles” which Paul also spoke about in Romans 9-11. God is going to graft Israel into the tree again during the seven year, Great Tribulation period, shortly after the rapture of the Church.

Meanwhile, the devil is preparing a lie to explain away the rapture. He has been working on this lie for a long time now. After the rapture, the Antichrist, and false prophet, will pick up the lie and run with it! Any one who believes their lie will be lost for all eternity! We’ll examine the lie in the last chapter.

Deuteronomy is not the only place in the Old Testament where the rapture is mentioned. A pre-trib rapture can be seen in Zephaniah chapter 2. Here we see Israel, the “undesired nation”, gathered together and then the Church, “the meek of the earth”, are hidden in Heaven during the day of the Lords anger. Why does he say “may be hid”? Because not all professing Christians will be taken, only those that know the Lord personally, and are faithful to Him. Only those He knows are in view here. Does He know you?

Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired; Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’S anger come upon you. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger. (Zephaniah 2:1-3)

They will be hid in a totally secure place, God’s Heaven, not somewhere on earth. The bible says in no uncertain terms, that the Antichrist will have power over the saints and will kill them in great numbers. Here we have a promise that these people will be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger. They can’t be the same group of people as the saints who will be beheaded for Jesus. There is a third group who survive the Tribulation and repopulate the earth. We will discuss them later.

By laying down their lives this way the saints will actually have victory over the Beast! These people will have seen God’s power in rapturing the Church and they will know that He has power to resurrect them as well. Millions of Christians have been called upon to lay down their lives as the supreme act of faith. The saints of the Tribulation will lay down their lives as the greatest act of defiance, and faith, this world will ever know. Jesus will certainly see it and will reward those people in the sight of their enemies!

It will be an act of faith, but these people will also have the “sight” of having been witness to the rapture of the Church. They will have the “sight” of having seen many prophecies come to pass in a way that has not been seen from the resurrection of Christ until now. They will also have the “sight” of seeing the 144,000 Jewish evangelists successfully evade death at the hands of the Antichrist, and they will also have seen the two witnesses in Jerusalem and the miracles they perform. These people will see so many things, that confirm the Bible, that it is amazing that anyone would not come to Jesus Christ in faith.

And he (the Antichrist) shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. (Daniel 7:25)

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Revelation 12:11)

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (Revelation 13:7)

In Psalm 50 the Lord comes and gathers his saints, the ones who have made a covenant with him by His sacrifice on the cross:

Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. (Psalm 50:3-6)

The “fire” that shall devour before Him refers to the Great Tribulation period, generally, and the return of Christ specifically. Notice that there are two simultaneous judgments in view here. There is one in Heaven for the saved, and one on earth, the Tribulation, for the lost. Both of these judgments are different from the Great White Throne judgment, and the lost who die during the Tribulation will ultimately stand for Judgment before the Great White Throne. In the Heavenly judgment it is only His people who are being judged, not the unsaved. He calls them to the heavens first in the rapture. This Judgment is referred to as the “Bema Seat“, and is like the judgment at a sports meet, for which it is named. There will be no condemnation here, only rewards and the loss of rewards. The unsaved dead are in Hell, and the living are on the earth. If He has any words of rebuke for His people it is not the business of the lost!

Later on, after the Millennium, the unsaved dead will be raised and will face the Great White Throne Judgment. At that time the saved will be there as witnesses and will approve of the Judgment handed down from God. What a horrid place to be, to have God condemn you and then all the saints and angels agreeing with the verdict! Then to have an angel pick you up and toss you into the Lake of Fire, like a piece of garbage! This will be the fate of the majority of mankind, who have not received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. I am sure there will be many tears coming from the eyes of the saints, but they will acknowledge that the sentence is just. You have had the same chance as they have. There is no other Saviour! He is your only hope to escape this fate!

Psalm 144:5-8 also speaks of the Lord reaching down from Heaven to rescue His people during a time of earthly upheaval:

Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them. Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

Isaiah also speaks of the Rapture of the Church, in the clearest picture of the Rapture in the Old Testament. This has been in the Word of God for some 2700 years, why is it that few have seen it until now?

Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD. We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen. Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. (Isaiah 26:17 – 21)

Verses 17 and 18 refer to a pregnant woman beginning her labour pains. This is a reference to the wars and commotions that Jesus spoke about as signs of the end. The time leading up to the Great Tribulation is compared to a woman in labour. The pangs are first mild and far apart, but soon come closer and closer and more intense, until the child is born. Jesus referred to this time in Matthew 24:8 “All these are the beginning of sorrows”. Many new translations render this passage “All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.

Many times in the Bible the period leading up to the Great Tribulation period is compared to labour pains. “And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.” (Isaiah 13:8) The same terminology and context is in view in Jeremiah 13:21, 49:24, Hosea 13:13, Mark 13:8, and John 16:21. As men we often do not think that labour could be that severe, but remember, many women have died in child-birth.

The prophet laments that Israel has not wrought deliverance upon the earth, as indeed they have not. They were commissioned to lead the nations to God but instead they have abandoned Him. They have been wasting their time for the last 2700 years! The implication of verse 18 is that Israel is being recalled, like a defective product, back to the land where their manufacturer will correct their deficiencies.

In verse 19 we see the first resurrection of the saints in the term “Thy dead men shall live”. The unsaved are not resurrected at this time, they are not “His” dead men, but children of the Devil. We see the saints singing, and the prophet himself anticipates being resurrected at this time! This is not a general resurrection which includes the lost, for at their resurrection they will not be singing, but in mourning and fear! We need to base our lives on the knowledge of the resurrection, and not the here-and-now.

In verse 20 we see the Rapture of the Church, occurring immediately after the resurrection of the saints. The chambers spoken of in verse 20 are the “rooms” or “mansions” in Heaven that Jesus spoke about. The comparison here is to the Jewish wedding where the bride is sequestered, with her husband, in her chambers for seven days, and is later presented as his wife. The “Indignation” is the Great Tribulation period, and verse 21 is a brief description of that event. The term “cometh out of His place” is a reference to Hosea 5:15 and 6:1-2 which takes place two “days” after he returned there. Very clearly the contents of this passage are an actual, physical, literal event, coming very soon to a planet near you.”

The Woman on the Beast

Have you ever noticed that the bible predicts the Antichrist will use one religious group to gain power, and then he will destroy that group? Why would he destroy his “friends”? Who are these people?

This woman “rides” the beast, which implies that she thinks that she can control him, and she is using him to gain power. I think the evidence is that they are using each other to gain power.  She is called “the mother of harlots” but where are these daughters in this picture?  I think the evidence is that they are allied with her, though perhaps not quite absorbed into her.

3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. Revelation 17:3-5, & 15-18

Have you ever wondered just who this group is? Most people focus on the woman in question, and most would state that she is the Roman Catholic church, or Rome. I would have to agree to a point. She certainly has an association with Rome, but I don’t believe the city in question is Rome. The only city named in this passage is actually Babylon, Iraq. I would suggest that ultimately the Church of Rome will have to move its headquarters, but that’s not what this article is about.

Notice in verse 6, John says “ I wondered with great admiration”. Why would John have such wonder over this woman and her daughters? The answer is that she, and they, proclaim themselves to be the Church of Jesus Christ! John saw a woman who looked somewhat like the bride of Christ, and yet she is guilty of the blood of the martyrs of Jesus!

What is a daughter? It may seem a strange question, but the answer identifies the daughters of the Harlot. A daughter is the same kind of entity as her mother. If the mother is a woman, her daughters will be women like their mother. If the mother is a church, then her daughters will also be churches, like their mother. Who are the churches who came out of Rome? These are the protestant denominations, including the Baptists!

While loudly decrying some of the errors of Rome, these Churches have all clung to other of her errors.

This fact explains why the Antichrist and his cohorts will destroy this woman and her daughters, even though they will support him, and persecute the true believers with him. These churches have an allegiance to a Jesus Christ! While they initially support the Antichrist, and work with him to form a world government, they will balk when he declares himself to be the Son of God, and he knows this. They will never accept him as the Son of God. This is why they must be destroyed before he declares himself God in the flesh!

This is exactly the same reason why Jesus hates these harlots. Their allegiance is to another Jesus, and not to the Jesus of the bible! Over the centuries they have created a Jesus in their own image! Slowly, they have added characteristics to Jesus which He never claimed as His, and removed characteristics which He does claim, so that eventually their Jesus became a creation of their own minds! Their Jesus looks a lot like them, and doesn’t have the power to save!

Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. II Corinthians 11:1-4

It’s like this; lets say, for argument’s sake, that I was preaching the gospel of Shiva (I’m not, but please bear with me for a moment). Let’s suppose that I said that Shiva was the only begotten son of God, that he came to earth and lived a perfect life, was crucified for your sins, and was raised the third day.

Any Christian would say that I have ascribed the biblical gospel to a false god, and they would be correct.

Now what difference is there if I preach that same gospel, and say it is about Jesus Christ, but then I add characteristics of Shiva to Jesus, while still calling him “Jesus”? Can that gospel save? I don’t think so. That would be another gospel, even though is has a surface similarity to the biblical gospel.

So, what if someone preaches a Jesus, but adds characteristics of the pagan god Tammuz, to Him? This is the same thing, and this is exactly what the Roman Catholic church has done. December 25 was the ancient celebration of the birth of Tammuz, the son of the “virgin” queen Semiramus, and it was a celebration of conspicuous consumption. This celebration took place in Rome at the time of Christ, and you will not find it in the bible, because Jesus and His disciples did not take part in pagan celebrations!

Jesus is the name above all names, but the name itself is not a magical name! Getting saved is not a magic spell you say in the name of Jesus! It is the person behind the name who does the saving! He has revealed Himself in His word, the Holy bible, and any deviation from that text is adding characteristics to Him that He does not approve of! This is a very dangerous thing, yet most “Christians” do it with impunity. They do it so often that they don’t even know they are doing it!

Take for example the subject of wine. The bible declares that Jesus made wine at a wedding in Cana, in John chapter 2. There is a certain body of “Christians” who will tell you that Jesus did not make wine at this wedding, “because wine is sinful”. They will tell you that the word “oinos” could mean wine, or it could mean grape juice, depending on the context. Then they will tell you that if Jesus made it, the context would dictate that it must be grape juice! This is a lie.

These men ignore the fact that there was a Greek word for grape juice, “trux”, which was available to the bible’s authors, if that was what they meant. They also ignore the fact that the master of the feast thought the beverage was wine. “the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,10And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: butthou hast kept the good wine until now.” John 2:9b-10

These men ignore the fact that Jesus Himself declared that he drank wine;

For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! But wisdom is justified of all her children. Luke 7:33-35

Think about what He is saying here. He is contrasting himself with John the Baptist (Baptizer). What John did not do, Jesus did, and it did not matter to the Pharisees; they condemned both! These men, who deny the plain teaching of the word of God, have made themselves enemies of this same Jesus, even while pretending to be His ministers!

What are they actually saying? Aren’t they saying that God was unable to say what He really meant, and that it is up to them to correct Him? Aren’t they asking us to deny the plain teaching of the Word of God, and put their interpretation ahead of that of the Holy Spirit! Aren’t they actually lifting themselves above God? Some of these men will go to great lengths to show us that we should believe the plain-sense, literal teaching of the bible, and then they go and contradict themselves on this subject!

I’m afraid these men would not recognize the real Jesus if He were in a room with them! They have created a false Jesus for the sake of the “good cause” of preventing men from drinking alcohol! Jesus never commanded them to do this, they took it upon themselves! In other words; Who determines right and wrong for these people? Is it God, or is it themselves? By going above and beyond the Scriptures they have put themselves in God’s place! Scripture actually forbids men from doing this, yet these men have no fear of God!

This is a technique the protestant, and Baptist, churches learned from Rome. It is one thing they clung to, when they left their mother! They employ the same kind of Scripture twisting methods whenever the plain teaching of the Word of God conflicts with their traditions! The same kind of rationale is used on a number of subjects such as Sunday worship, Christmas, Easter celebrations, and in a wide range of subjects. By doing this they have created a Jesus in their own image!

The Word of God is sandwiched between two commands not to tamper with God’s Word in any way;

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Deuteronomy 4:2

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, andfrom the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:18-19

I know that many professing Christians would protest “But that’s not us”! But it is! I was raised in such a church, and it has taken some 50 years to realize that their Jesus is significantly different than the Jesus depicted in the Scriptures! This is the “falling away” that Paul wrote of in II Thessalonians 2:3. It didn’t happen over night, but has taken centuries to blossom into full-blown apostasy.

This is why the Lord puts it into the hearts of the Antichrist, and the ten kings of Revelation 17, to destroy the Harlot and her daughters. This, amazingly, is the one thing the Lord Jesus and the Antichrist have in common…a burning hatred of the Harlot. The Antichrist hates her because he knows she has an allegiance to a Jesus, albeit a false Jesus, and Jesus hates her because her allegiance is to another Jesus!

So how will the Antichrist enlist the support of this Harlot? He will talk about “Christ” and will espouse a form of morality commonly practised by “Christians”. Christians will jump on these as signs that he is a Christian, and will climb on his bandwagon without carefully investigating what he is really about.  Many German, and some western, Christians followed the same pattern with Hitler!

The Beast will be from a Muslim nation and this change in an Arab leader will lead professing Christians to welcome him as a “Man of God”.

True believers will stand firm against this man, and they will be persecuted by the Harlot because they are fighting against “God’s man for the world”! The Antichrist will not reveal his true intentions, until after the Harlot and her daughters have been destroyed! By then it will be too late!

Two Excellent Videos: Rick Warren and Emergent Church

Below you will find two excellent videos on Rick Warren, and the Emergent church.

First, let me say that these videos are absolutely, 100% correct in the subject matter they tackle.  The research is impeccable!

I want to say, however, that there is a danger in viewing videos like these.  The danger is not in the videos themselves, but rather in our view of ourselves in relation to the subjects of these videos.

Remember Jesus’ comments to the church of Ephesus in Revelation 2?  This church had a healthy discernment ministry, yet they were not beyond a stern rebuke from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself!  Just because they had this biblical ministry, does not mean that they were 100% right with the Lord themselves!

 1  Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;   2  I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:   3  And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.   4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.  5  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.   6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. Revelation 2:1-6

Notice that Jesus is telling a biblical, zealous church to “repent”!  They had left their first love, Jesus Christ!  His threat is that He would remove their candlestick i.e. that they would no longer shine the light of God’s truth!

Like the Pharisees, this church could see the errors of others, correctly, yet had grown cold in their relationship with the Lord!

This message is especially relevant today as the majority in Christendom have created another Jesus for themselves!  A Jesus who is more palatable to western culture and sensibilities, but nonetheless he is a false Jesus!  If you love another Jesus, you are not loving the Jesus of Scripture!

As you view these videos please don’t think “Because I am exercising discernment, therefore I am OK!”  We all need to nurture our relationship with Jesus Christ!  Don’t let your relationship with Him grow cold, even as you exercise biblical discernment!  Make sure the Jesus you are following is the Jesus of the bible!  There is only one way to do that, read your bible, and believe it!

With that being said, these are two excellent, factual videos that will open your eyes to what is going on in mainstream “Christianity”.

God bless,

Dan

The End Times Chronological Order

One of my correspondents, Charlie, always asks tough questions.  It’s not always fun to answer such questions, but I suppose it’s good for me.  This week he asked me what is my proposed chronology for the End Times.  While I have written about each of these points  I realized that maybe I haven’t actually spelled it out in one post.

Accordingly I have reposted my proposed End Times chronology here.

1) Psalm 83 war, including the destruction of Damascus, Lebanon, Cairo, and other Arab cities.  The tribes listed in the psalm are the Arab tribes in the nations surrounding Israel.  These would include Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinians, and Egypt.  They may also include the other Arab states of the Arabian peninsula, but it will not include Iran, Turkey, Libya, Sudan or Russia.

I expect this war will be so devastating that Israel will be forced to use nuclear devices.  Some may think this war is the Gog/Magog war, or even Armageddon, but it isn’t.  It is a late Church-Age war, and the Christian church will still be here at this time.

2) A Time of peace, resulting from the Arab defeat, and perceived by some to be the Tribulation.  This will be accompanied by a European leader many identify as “the Antichrist”.   The pope will support this leader, and he will be identified as the “false prophet”.  I believe both of these men will be involved in negotiating the peace deal between Israel and the Arabs.

This will be a peace that will stick, for a time, and I expect that this will be the time that Israel gives up her nuclear weapons.  I expect that the whole world will likely give up their nuclear weapons, after the destruction witnessed during this war.  It is also quite likely that some will fall through the cracks in the shuffle.  Russia has so many nukes that they don’t even know how many they really have, so who will notice if one or two are missed?

I expect they will promise Israel unconditional support if attacked, and this will be why the Russians nuke Rome, and why they are not opposed in their attack on Israel.  If everyone has given up their nukes, except Russia, who would oppose them?  I don’t have a verse for this point, I just know that Satan always has his counterfeits.  Therefore he must produce a counterfeit of the Harlot.

Could the counterfeit be the USA?  I doubt it.  It is more likely Rome.  Rome has the seven hills, after all, and a great false church.  What better city to set-up for destruction?

At this time the real Antichrist will most likely be a minor official, or a figurehead.  He may even be appointed by Israel, or the UN, to administer, or help administer, the Arab territories after their defeat in the Psalm 83 war.

3) This time of peace will end with the Gog and Magog war of Ezekiel 38-39.  I expect this war will begin with the destruction of Rome, the false Antichrist and the pope.  With Rome out of the way the Russo/Iranian coalition will be able to concentrate on the destruction of Israel.  What they will not take into account is that God will personally intervene on behalf of Israel.

The real Antichrist will be one of the voices who protests the Russo/Iranian invasion with “are you come to take a prey?” Eze. 38:13.  He may even stand up publicly and pray for Israel’s deliverance, and thus take credit when the invading armies are massacred by the heavenly bombardment of fire and brimstone (Eze. 39:6).

4) The rapture of the Church will take place shortly after the Gog/Magog war.  This will be shortly after the Antichrist is unveiled, but before he has the power to do them any real harm.  The rapture will be much smaller than many imagine.  The majority of “Christians” will be left behind, and will deny that it was the rapture at all.  I would expect it to take place around the time the peace negotiations are taking place, perhaps shortly before, or shortly after the Antichrist “confirms a covenant” for seven years.

5) The destruction of Rome will necessitate the relocation of the Catholic church in the aftermath of the Gog/Magog war.  The new headquarters is most likely Babylon, or Al Hillah, on the plains of Shinar in Iraq.  Her sister city is one Amman, formerly known as the city of seven jabals, or mountains.  I would not be surprised if Amman is renamed Philadelphia by this time.  This was her name at the time of Christ, and this fact will be used by the Antichrist to point to his city as being the Philadelphia of Revelation 3, and his church as the Philadelphian Christian church.  It will be a time of great deception.

The first signs of the Antichrist are spoken of in Daniel 11:37.  Because of unbelief, however, they will be taken as signs that this man is a Christian, by the professing church: “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women,”  After two major wars started by Muslims, the world will not trust Muslims, but this man, from a Muslim family, will not regard, or care about the God of his fathers, Allah, and this will be taken as a sign of progress, or that he is a “Christian”!

He will repudiate polygamy, at a time when 5 of 6 soldiers from the Gog and Magog war are killed in the battle.  The western church will really think this is a sign that he is a Christian, because they have bought the Roman lie that this practise is sinful.

And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: Eze. 39:2

Yes that’s right, the Antichrist will arise in the aftermath of the Gog/Magog war, which many will have mistaken for Armageddon.  Those nations are primarily Muslim, and this practise has been common in Islam from its founding to today! In fact it predates Islam.

The bible speaks of a similar time, when Jesus Christ returns, and it says what He will do in a similar situation.  Most Christians have read Isaiah 4 and yet didn’t understand it when it was right in front of them.  To be fair, I did not understand what was going on either, until I had read it several times, and prayed about it;

And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach. Isaiah 4:1

Their reproach is the same as the reproach of Rachel and of Elizabeth. (See Genesis 30:23, and Luke 1:24-25)

The next verses give us the context:

2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that have escaped of Israel.  3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:  4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst of it by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

Remember that the “Branch” is Jesus Christ.  None of this occurred during His first coming.  This is an event that is awaiting His return.

Notice also that these women are asking for marriage, not for illicit affairs.  This passage is talking about the time immediately after Jesus returns and sets up His kingdom on earth.  There is a shortage of men, but these women, and men, are all 100% believers in Jesus Christ.  They do not want affairs, but legitimate marriages!  With Jesus rulling, affairs will be punished by death!  Verse 25 of the preceding chapter tells us why there are so many men missing;

25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.  26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she [being] desolate, shall sit upon the ground

While the context of the passage begins with ancient Israel, somewhere in the middle the context changes to Armageddon.  While the women of Israel flee to the wilderness for safety, at the abomination of desolation, many men will stay behind to fight the Antichrist!

The story of Hannukah is about how Israel defeated the first Little Horn, Antiochus Ephiphanes, and these men will believe they can defeat the second Little Horn the same way.  This fight will result in the world’s armies coming against Jerusalem, and the deaths of 2/3 of Israel.

 8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.  9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

The people spoken of in Isaiah 4:1 are the very same “third part” of Israel that is spoken of here!  These are the seven women who come to one man and say “give US your name to take away our reproach“, and it also includes that one man!  This is the pattern that will be seen throughout the world, though the object of the passage is Israel!

Some of the two thirds who die may actually be believers in Yeshuah as Messiah, but by disobeying Him they will find they are translated to Heaven in death, and will not live to repopulate the earth during the millennial kingdom.

15  When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)  16  Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:   17  Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:  18  Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. Matt. 24:15-18

I am convinced that the majority of the world will believe themselves to be Christians, and they will persecute the true church, which will spring up shortly after the rapture.  Technically they won’t be “the Church”, but Old Testament believers.  Saved by grace, but not indwelt by the Holy Spirit.  The Christian Church is a “limited time offer” by God!  Its expiry date is drawing close!

The Harlot is the world religion put together after the Gog and Magog war, but led by the Catholic church, and the protestant denominations.  Their extra-biblical traditions will actually lead them to support the Antichrist!

Interestingly both Satan, the Antichrist, the world’s rulers, and Jesus Christ hate the Harlot!  This is the one thing they all have in common!  Satan will use the false church to put his man on the world throne, but because they have some allegiance to a “Jesus”, they will have to be destroyed before the Antichrist claims to be the Son of God.  They would rebel once they realize that he is claiming to be divine, so they must be eliminated!

The problem with them is that their Jesus is not the Jesus of the bible, but another Jesus.  A Jesus who does not have all the characteristics of the biblical Jesus, but depends on his church doing things for him.  This is something that is commonly taught in false churches today, “that they must create the kingdom of God on earth, before Jesus can return“.  Such a teaching is offensive to Jesus, who depends on no man, and so He will put it in the hearts of the worlds leaders to destroy the false church.

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.  II Corinthians 11:4

Be very careful which Jesus you believe in.  Only the biblical Jesus of Nazareth can save you!

It will be around this time that the Antichrist will die and be raised from the dead.  He will claim that his resurrection proves that he is the Son of God, just as Christians have claimed for some 2,000 years.  It will also be around this time that the 144,000 witnesses are raptured, which makes me think that they will be indwelt by the Holy Spirit, just as the Church is. (Rev. 14:1-3)

After this all Hell breaks loose.  I wouldn’t want to be here at that time.

That is the End Times timeline as I see it.  Of necessity this has been a brief overview.  I have included over seven hundred biblical references in The Spirit of Prophecy, which support my contentions.

There are many other events that could be added, and probably some that I have missed.  Nevertheless, I think that if anyone finds other End Times events, they will likely fit within this timeline.  For instance, what is the event that keeps Iran, Turkey, and Russia out of the Psalm 83 war?  The Gazprom natural gas deal between Israel and Russia may have something to do with it, but I am not certain that this is all.  Maybe an attack by Israel on Iran’s nuclear facilities?  If anyone has any ideas on this or any other issue, I would be very interested to hear what you think.

Shalom,

Dan

A request from an author

One of the uphill battles of publishing, any self-published author can tell you is the challenge to get their book reviewed.

This author has sent out dozens of copies of his book to most of the big-name prophecy ministries, at his own expense.  The result?  One mixed review.

Bill Sallus, the author of Isralestine, was kind enough to acknowledge receipt of the book, and commented on chapter 7, which pertains to the subject of his book.  “Well written, and well researched, but I disagree with your conclusions.” was all he had to say.  I haven’t heard back from him since, though he has changed his mind on the Psalm 83 war, and now says it will be a pre-Tribulation event.  Evidently he does agree with some of my conclusions.

I’m beginning to think I need peer reviews, not reviews from the “big names”.  Maybe that’s what the Lord wants me to rely on.

Accordingly, I’d like to offer a free copy of The Spirit of Prophecy, in exchange for a review.  I would not hold anyone to a positive review.  You are free to write as you are led by the Lord. (Of course, I like positive!)

A good review does not need to rewrite the book, nor give away the plot.  It only needs to be a paragraph or two long.  Just answer the questions prospective readers might ask, such as;

  • Is it readable?
  • Does the book progress in a logical fashion?
  • Does the book present new ideas, and are those ideas worthy of consideration?  Are they biblically based?
  • As a Christian book, are there enough Scripture references and are those references in context?
  • Are there extra-biblical references, and are they relevant to the subject matter?

Plus, any other questions you yourself would have asked.

You can post the review on your own blog, or on Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble’s website.  Please send me a link so I can read it, and post it on my own website.  I will post negative reviews as well as positive, so long as they are written in a respectful manner.

You may also send it to me as an email, if you wish, and I will post it on my homepage.

I will respect the privacy of my reviewers, and only post their first name plus an initial, and their hometown, plus state/province.

Just so you know, I had to pay for these books myself, and am willing to pay for shipping to you as well, even overseas, so please only ask if you are serious about doing a review.  I have ten hard copies, and should be able to get another ten ebooks from Virtual bookworm, for those who want an electronic version.  If there is enough interest I could probably find a few more.

Anyone who feels up to the challenge can send me an email at danpilot(at)csolve.net (just remove the brackets, and replace them, and their contents, with an @ sign.  Please specify if you prefer a hard copy or an ebook.

Thanks, and God Bless,

Joel’s sunsets

The other day I was involved in a discussion with one of my readers, and I realized that the subject is important enough that I need to pass on the essential truths to all of my readers.

While discussing Joel 2, and whether it is a reference to the Gog and Magog war, or not, I was distracted by the statements regarding the darkening of the sun and moon.

I remember going through these passages while writing The Spirit of Prophecy, and it seems that the three references to “the sun darkened, and the moon turning to blood” are very significant for the timing of the End Times wars in the bible.

Sometimes we tend to focus on major events and neglect little words in the middle of a passage. Most people, at first glance, would probably think that these three references are repeats of the same event. Sometimes God does this type of thing, to add emphasis.

I don’t believe this is the case with these three references. Let’s take a look at them, and then we can discuss where they belong in the prophetic chronology;

10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: 11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? Joel 2:10-11

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. Joel 2:31

14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is NEAR in the valley of decision. 15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. Joel 3:14-15

The first thing I would note is that these three references appear to be out of order. The first one in Joel 2:10-11 is actually prophesying conditions that will exist during the day of the Lord. This is backed up by the prophet Amos;

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. Amos 5:18

Now notice that the next reference specifies that this condition will occur BEFORE the day of the Lord. This is not the same event as that of Joel 2:10-11, and Amos 5:18-20. The event spoken of here is a Church-age event, and Christians will still be here on this planet to witness it!

Notice the next passage in Joel 3. Here we have another event which most scholars would identify as Armageddon. Though I said that I thought it occurs before the Tribulation, I’m afraid I have to concur. As you read the context you will see that this is a war that involves the whole world. It appears that the author starts with the Tribulation period, then goes back to a time shortly before the Tribulation begins, and then in chapter 3 goes forward again to the Tribulation itself.

Notice what he says shortly before verse 31;

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. 30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. Joel 2:28-30

Notice the word “afterward”. He is saying that after this attack on Israel, these other signs will occur. During the Church Age the Lord has not dealt with mankind in visions and dreams, and though many false prophets exist, publicizing their visions and dreams, the Lord’s prophets today stick with the Scriptures. The “afterward” here is actually the Tribulation period! This attack, of Gog and Magog, will occur in the waning years of the Church Age, and before the rapture takes place!

I don’t think that any of these three passages in Joel denotes the Psalm 83 war, but we can date that conflict by the Ezekiel 38-39 account of Gog and Magog. It will occur several years prior, and will actually set the stage for the Gog/Magog war.

The peace spoken of in the early parts of Ezekiel 38 will begin in the aftermath of the Psalm 83 war. At that time the terrorists will lay down their weapons, if they aren’t already dead, and will cooperate with Israel, and they all will prosper for several years.

Gog/Magog is not imminent. The Psalm 83 war is not imminent either, though we can see the Arabs working furiously to form that confederacy. Thus, it is my contention that once the Iranian nuclear threat is dealt with, that the next event on the prophetic calendar is the Psalm 83 war.

Pat Condell on Peace in the Middle East

Pat Condell is an atheist, and he thinks people of faith are idiots, however I must say that I have no argument whatsoever with his analysis in this video.  There will be no peace in the Middle East as long as Hamas is around.  I think it’s safe to add Jihad Islami, Hezbollah, Fatah, the Muslim Brotherhood, and Islam in general.;

Truth be told, I would also add the New Apostolic Reformation, the New Age movement, Wicca, Hinduism, the Roman Catholic church,  Buddhism, Communism, and even Humanism to that list.  The truth is that there will be no peace on this planet until Jesus Christ returns.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s next target

The Muslim Brotherhood is now aiming at Jordan’s king Abdullah, in their quest to form the Psalm 83 confederacy.

In order, from left to right: Princess Iman (born on September 27th, 1996), Crown Prince Hussein (born on June 28th, 1994), Queen Rania (born on August 30th, 1970), King Abdullah II (born on January 30th, 1962), little Prince Hashem (born on January 30th, 2005 – same day as his father, just 43 years after) and Princess Salma (born on September 26th, 2000).

Readers of this blog will have noted that I believe the biblical Antichrist will come from the modern nation of Jordan. I have itemized my reasons in several posts, starting with “The Jordanian Antichrist”. A more complete study of this subject can be found in chapter seven of The Spirit of Prophecy.

My analysis of the Antichrist’s ethnicity is based on a study of the bible’s End Times passages, and is not dependent on the events in the news. Go and read through my posts and you will see that there is a solid case that the Antichrist will come from the descendants of Jacob’s brother, Esau.  Nevertheless, the events in the news have an uncanny tendency to follow biblical prophecy.

Note that Abdullah is not a descendant of Esau, though evidence is that his children are.

Now it appears that the rebels of the Muslim Brotherhood are taking aim at the king of Jordan, Abdullah II.  Its funny how Muslims kill people accused of witchcraft, and yet the bible says “rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft”. (1 Samuel 15:23)

There is even evidence that the US administration has decided to support the ouster of Abdullah.

“Deputy State Department Spokesman Mark Toner managed to create panic [and anger] in the Royal Palace in Amman when he stated that there was “thirst for change” in Jordan and that the Jordanian people had “economic, political concerns,” as well as “aspirations.”

The spokesman’s remark has prompted some Jordanian government officials to talk about a US-led “conspiracy” to topple King Abdullah’s regime.

The talk about a “thirst for change” in Jordan is seen by the regime in Amman as a green light from the US to King Abdullah’s enemies to increase their efforts to overthrow the monarchy.”

Very clearly the American government doesn’t learn from its mistakes.  It appears they are intent on throwing as many of their friends under the bus, as they can!

It’s not that he has been an oppressive ruler, or really bad in any way. Yes, there’s some corruption there, but that’s par for the course in the Muslim world.  It’s just that he has been keeping (albeit reluctantly) the peace treaty with Israel, negotiated by his father king Hussein. This is unforgivable to the Brotherhood.

The truth is that the world-wide economy is in a recession, but the Brotherhood is using this as a pretext to foment discontent.

These current events beg the question “What if Abdullah and his family are deposed as leaders of Jordan? Does this mean that the Antichrist could not come from this family? What if Abdullah is assassinated?

My first reaction, when I thought that the Muslim Brotherhood could target Jordan was “Oh, no!” but then I had another thought;

If the Antichrist were to come from this family, they must NOT be involved in the Psalm 83 attack on Israel! The Antichrist, or the Little Horn, will be trusted to keep his word, by the leadership of Israel. A man from a rabidly anti-semitic family would not be trusted, and though this family has this history, their involvement in a recent, and very large attack against Israel would be a raw wound that would prevent the Israeli leadership from trusting such a man.

For this reason I would predict that Abdullah will lose his grip on Jordan, and he and his family will have to flee… If he survives. If he doesn’t survive, his family will still flee. Where will they flee to? I don’t know. Israel? Iraq? The USA? It really doesn’t matter, so long as they are not a part of that war, and are able to make some public statements against it. If they were to take shelter in Israel during this war it would give them great credibility with Israelis later on. I can’t say they will, but this is a real possibility.

No, in the final analysis, I still think the Little Horn will come from the Jordanian royal family, though I can’t say for sure which person it is.

Woman riding a beast the symbol of Europe

The EU Observer is reporting that new European bills will begin showing a woman riding a beast, starting in May of next year.

Europa, abducted by Zeus, will figure on the new euro notes (Photo: cliff1066™)

“BRUSSELS – In Greek mythology, the Phoenician princess Europa was abducted and raped by the king of the gods, Zeus.

But her image will from next year replace pictures of windows and doors on euro banknotes as a security and deocrative feature.

“Portraits have long been used in banknotes around the world and research has shown that people tend to remember faces. Is there any better figure than Europa to serve as the new face of the euro?” the chief of the European Central Bank (ECB), Mario Draghi, said on Thursday (8 November) according to Bloomberg.

She will first appear on the €5 note in May, with other notes introduced in ascending order in the next few years.”

This development will have many prophecy buffs excited, but there is something you should know before you get carried away;  Satan always has his counterfeits!

ALWAYS!

This development is a sure sign that we are in the End Times, but it may not transpire as many believe it will.  I fear Satan is setting up a counterfeit Harlot (Rev. 17) and a counterfeit city (Rome), and counterfeits of the Antichrist and the False Prophet,  for the express purpose of destroying them!

Satan has no love for any of these entities.  He will use them and discard them like crumpled old candy wrappers!  Once the counterfeit has been destroyed, the real will make their appearance, and the world will breathe a sigh of relief!

Remember this; the Roman Catholic church will survive the destruction of Rome!  She will have to move her headquarters, and elect a new leader, but the church of Rome does have the ability to relocate her headquarters if the need arises, and it will!  When the bible speaks of God’s judgment against Babylon, it is not mincing words.  Babylon will receive God’s judgment when the time is right.

In the mean time you can expect more of this.  Europe will elect a dictator, and the Pope will affirm this man.  In the aftermath of the Psalm 83 war you can expect this European leader to make a deal with Israel in which Israel will give up her nukes in exchange for a European guarantee of security.

I expect that this guarantee of Israel’s security will result in someone (probably Russia) destroying the European capital (probably Rome) in the early stages of the Gog and Magog war.  When they go after Israel, they will first have to stop the Europeans from coming to her aid.

All of this looks like fulfillment of biblical prophecy, but as I started out saying, it is a counterfeit.  These things will happen because Satan has to make his Antichrist look like a Saviour!

The real “city of seven mountains” is Amman.  The real Antichrist will come from the descendants of Esau, Jacob’s brother.  He will be an Arab, from a Muslim background, but the world will think he is a Christian because of his policies, and he talks of “the Christ”.  He will show up after these major wars, and the world will look to him as a man of peace.  He will use the Catholic and protestant denominations to gain power, and then he will destroy them.  They won’t know what hit them!

 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. I Thessalonians 5:3

All of this is documented in greater detail in The Spirit of Prophecy.  For those wanting to dig deeper I recommend you get a copy.
