Will 2016 be the year the European Union breaks-up?

As I predicted in my 2010 book, “The Spirit of Prophecy” the European Union will not hold together. The plan was flawed from the outset. You can’t have a nation with “provinces” having separate monetary, defense, and immigration policies.

You can’t have people in one “province” retiring at 55 and taxpayers in another working until they are 65 supporting younger retired persons!

Neither can you have millions of immigrants coming in and living off the taxpayers of any nation, as we see all over the western EU. This is a situation that is guaranteed to lead to civil strife, if not civil war! Either European politicians want war, or they are so blind that they can’t see it coming!

No. It sure appears that the current crises will lead to the break-up of the EU.

I can’s say for sure when it will occur, but I am certain it will occur, and it is looking more and more like it could happen very soon.

A visit to euronews.com shows a page of articles devoted to the migrant crisis in Europe and its ramifications. Almost every article is related to the crisis, the conflicts between the member nations, or talk of member nations leaving the union.

The other thing that is driving all of this is the fact that God has written prophecies concerning the End Times in His Word. End Times events will inevitably follow the course that God has laid out in prophecy.

Prophecy, like the rest of the bible, contains traps that if misinterpreted, and taken out-of-context, can lead to disastrous consequences!

Europe will break-up, and out of the ashes of the EU will rise two or three daughter unions. The people of Europe know that it is in their collective interests for them to unite in larger units than the old nations. There truly is strength in numbers, and ultimately this is a phenomenon that will be replicated throughout the world. In fact the bible predicts that the world will be comprised of only ten nations by the time the Tribulation begins. This does not mean that there will be only ten nations left, but that all the nations of the world will unite under ten super-nations.

If that is the case, then why would the EU break up? It is because the EU is made up of people with extremely different backgrounds, and worldviews, and because smaller unions will facilitate the fulfilment of prophecy.

What I am specifically looking at is the Gog/Magog prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39. As I have pointed out in other articles, the invading nations of that war will include all of Europe from Ireland in the west to the borders of China in the east, and down to the Turkic tribes and Iran in the south.

These nations are represented by the names of their patriarchs, the sons of Japheth Magog, Tubal, Meshech, and Gomer. Japheth, however, had seven sons three of which are missing from the passage; Javan, Tiras and Madai. What of the nations these men founded?

The truth is that there has been much mixing of the nations of the world. From the very beginning men of one group would marry women of another. Sometimes a young man would hang around with his own family, and some times he would stay closer to his wife’s family. So the lines between these nations are somewhat blurred, however what we are interested in is “How does God follow the nations? How does He divide them, or follow their lineage?” I think it is safe to say that the lineage of nations is followed by the majority in any population.

Several thousand years ago a tribe of Assyrians migrated to Germany. These people assimilated with, learned the language, and married into their host nation, so today their descendants would consider themselves Germans, and I believe they would be considered a part of the tribe of Ashkenaz.

Some parts of Iran are actually descendants of Madai. In fact the Medes of the book of Daniel are the Kurdish people today, and they were called “Medes” because of their ancestor Madai. From the Ezekiel passage it is impossible to say how the Kurds and related people will be aligned during the Gog/Magog war. They might align themselves with Iran, as in the past, or they may be neutral.

Javan and Tiras appear to be the fathers of the southern Europeans, including Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, and it is these nations that will form the backbone of a Southern European Union. At this point I can’t say for sure which other nations will join them, but we can be sure there will be ten of them.

After the Psalm 83 war, and after Israel is forced to use nuclear weapons to defend themselves, it is this Southern European Union that will make a peace agreement with Israel. This agreement will guarantee that this Union will come to Israel’s aid in the event that they are attacked. It will also guarantee the security of the Arabs, and will oversee the nuclear disarmament of Israel!

This agreement will work, and both Israel and the Arabs will prosper economically. The border fence will come down, and both sides will enjoy unprecedented peace, setting up the Ezekiel 38-39 scenario!

It is also this agreement which will seal the fate of the Southern European Union’s leader, and his close associate the Pope of Rome!

You see, the nations that attack Israel, during the Gog/Magog war, will know that they can’t attack Israel without coming up against the Southern European Union’s armies. So they must deal with this Union first! Accordingly, when they are going to attack Israel they will destroy Rome first, and this will be at a time when both leaders are together in that city!

Most prophecy watchers will look at this situation and declare that this war IS Armageddon!

It isn’t of course, but it is the Gog/Magog war, a late Church-Age war, and the last major event before the beginning of the actual Tribulation period. When the nations come together to talk peace, after this war, they will be under the impression that Armageddon is over, and now is the time for the return of Christ, or for a man to rise in the spirit of Christ, to lead the world to a new era of peace and safety!

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. I Thessalonians 5:3 

So, when you see Southern Europe making deals with Israel today, do not think they are dealing with the Antichrist. They are dealing with someone, it appears, who is being set-up as a stand-in for the Antichrist, a patsy who will take the fall for the Beast, so he can come in like a Saviour!

This week, Israel signed an economic deal with Alexis Tsipras, the Greek prime minister, and the Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades.

A joint statement by the three leaders alludes to, what I believe will become, the beginnings of  the Southern European Union;

“Our partnership is not exclusive in design or nature, and we are ready to welcome other like-minded actors to join our efforts to promote coordination and cooperation, as well as regional peace and stability”

As I look at current events, and see that they fit exactly the scenario found in The Spirit of Prophecy, I am excited, and frightened at the same time. I might say “I told you so”, but that is only because people need to pay attention before they get sucked into the euphoria in the rise of the Antichrist. There is a great danger in thinking the End Times events are over when they haven’t really begun!

The Beast will be revealed before the rapture (2 Thes. 2:1-3), and I am convinced that only true believers will understand who he is, everyone else will think he is a man of God! Anyone who says the Antichrist “is a man of God” will be left behind at the rapture; no one could say this if they were truly born-again!

Is the Pope Catholic?

You know what I find really frustrating? Its when you know something really important and nobody cares, or takes you seriously!

As we watch the world situation, many are wringing their hands in despair, and truly I am not happy with what I am seeing, but what we are seeing is an unfolding of the End Times in exactly the way I laid it out in The Spirit of Prophecy!

As I said in that book, the pope is a decoy, which Satan has set-up for the express purpose of destroying. Just because the popes have been around for some 18 centuries it does not mean that Satan has any love for the men who have held this office. They are just tools to him, to be discarded when he is finished with them.

When the last pope, Benedict, retired, and was replaced by Francis, I knew that Catholics just might use this fact as an opportunity to disown this pope, should he be involved in something distasteful. I have been stating this on Facebook for a couple of years now.

In fact I have seen many posts by many Christians and Prophecy Ministries saying that they believe the pope is the false prophet of the book of Revelation.

In fact David Bay of Cutting Edge ministries said the very same thing back when John Paul 2 was pope. In fact he said that he had been snuck into a meeting of New Agers, and they had told him that “the pope is a proper receptor to the Christ”, meaning the Antichrist.

Mr. Bay thought that he had not been recognized, and maybe the people in that meeting did not recognize him, but I can assure you that their “spirit guides” knew exactly who he was. Accordingly that statement was directed specifically at David Bay and his readers, by none other than Satan’s angels!

Satan isn’t stupid, and we ought not to think he is. He is the father of lies, and you can be sure that if he says anything that sounds like the truth, it has a twist and is meant to deceive!

So, imagine my surprise this week when a Facebook friend, a Catholic herself, posted the following? Well, I wasn’t really surprised, only surprised at how quickly it is happening!

My first argument with her is that the bible does not actually say that the final pope would be the false prophet. The bible is silent on popes, except to say;

“They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.” John 16:2

For many hundreds of years the popes killed Jesus’ followers.  The true followers of Jesus Christ were the ones put to death, not those doing the killing!

The bible does indeed speak of a final false prophet, but it does not state that he will be a pope. What it does say is that he is from “the earth” (Revelation 13:17). The first beast, the Antichrist, is from “the sea”.

The symbolism is hard to miss; the sea is a reference to “the sea of humanity, the Gentile nations”. The contrast indicates that the second beast, the false prophet, does not come from the sea of humanity, but from the “land” of Israel.  The Antichrist will be a Gentile from an Arab nation, but the false prophet will be from Israel.  Their goal will be to unite humanity in rebellion against God!

No, the final pope is a decoy whose destruction will lead the world to believe the Tribulation is over. It is the destruction of a pope, and a political leader, in the city of Rome, which will lead many allegorists to believe that they have been witness to Armageddon!  Whether this pope will be Francis or his successor, I can’t say, but rest assured Satan has a purpose in destroying his puppets!

Rome, however, is a city of seven hills. Hills are not as significant as mountains, and it is not Rome to which the Scriptures point!  Rome is  a side-issue, and a decoy!

And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. Revelation17:9

The Scriptures are actually referring to Babylon, Iraq.

I can hear you say, “But Babylon is on a flat plain, and has no mountains!” And I agree. Babylon does not have any physical mountains. I believe the mountains to which this Scripture point are to allegorical mountains.

After Rome is destroyed, during the Gog/Magog war, the remaining Catholics will have to relocate their headquarters; They will choose Babylon, Iraq, and they will partner there with a group you may have heard of, The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR).

This is where the seven mountains of Revelation17:9 come from; There is a teaching among the NAR that they have to take dominion over the “seven mountains” of society! They call it “the seven mountain mandate”. They have divided up society into seven mountains, or seven spheres, and claim that they need to take dominion over each one.

These seven mountains are family, Church/religion, education, media, arts and entertainment, economy, and government! In other words they are targeting every aspect of society. These people will succeed for a time, and the world will come under their thumb, as they put the Antichrist on the throne! Shortly after that, around the mid-point in the Tribulation, he will betray their trust, and destroy them, but for several years prior they will have unprecedented influence all over the world!

In the past Christians would have avoided being associated with such a term, but this is an indication of the arrogance, and ignorance, of this group.

As an aside, I should warn you that in the current American elections, Donald Trump is receiving a lot of support from many NAR leaders, however Senator Ted Cruz also comes from a family associated with the same group! On the other side, Sanders and Clinton are Marxists, and unethical liars to boot! The future of the USA certainly looks very bleak!

I would not be surprised if the USA eventually ends up with a NAR president, and if so, I would expect that they will be involved in a Catholic Church/NAR move to Babylon, perhaps by its modern name Al-Hillah. I expect this assistance will come around the time of the end of the Gog and Magog war, long after ISIS disappears from the scene.

We should not be surprised if some Catholics are outing the pope as an imposter today. They are being set-up as “prophets” who will ultimately lead their church into the kingdom of the Antichrist! By rejecting someone as the false prophet, and his associate as the Antichrist, they are opening themselves up to accept the real thing!

But this all starts with false prophets setting up their followers. And it is not only occurring in the Catholic Church, but all Christian denominations are coming under the influence of these false teachers.

The kingdom of both the Roman Church, and the New Apostolic Reformation is of this world. They intend to take over the world, and then claim they will hand it to Jesus Christ. In other words He needs them to take over the world for Him; He can’t do it on His own! That Jesus is not the Jesus of the bible!

Here is what Jesus said;

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. John 18:36

Jesus’ kingdom is not from here.  Those who attempt to build a kingdom of God on earth will actually hasten the coming of the Antichrist! The Seven Mountain Mandate is a form of Christian Dominionism and is actually a doctrine of devils, and a tool of Satan!

There is another city of seven literal mountains, which is the home town of the Antichrist, and appears in Revelation 18, but the Babylon of Revelation 17 is Babylon, and its mountains are artificial.

David Bowie and Blackstar

I don’t often reblog other people’s work, unless I feel their work is exceptional.  This is one of those times;

Since I did an expose of Led Zeppelin in The Spirit of Prophecy, I was well aware of the influence of Aleister Crowley on many rock musicians, although I had not looked at David Bowie specifically.  Bowie was a highly influential musician, and dearly loved by many, but I am afraid his influence was largely negative.

DAVID BOWIE DIES AFTER SINGING “I AM THE GREAT I AM”!

I caught the news early this morning and heard that David Bowie had died of cancer, at the age of 69, just as his latest album was released. I immediately thought of his influence on rock music (selling over 130 million albums), and of the early days of our ministry when I spent a great deal of time preaching on the occult connections with such artists as David Bowie had.

One of the quotes from Bowie I often used back then was…

“Rock has always been the devil’s music; you can’t convince me that it isn’t. I honestly believe everything I’ve said—I believe rock and roll is dangerous. …I feel that we’re only heralding something even darker than ourselves” (Rolling Stone, February 12, 1976, p. 83). This album certainly revealed that “darker” side in the song, “Blackstar”.

As soon as I got on FB this morning, my friend, Paula Joiner Chapman, sent me a message that he had died and she sent a link to a video from that latest album. We talked a little bit and both commented on the weird video and its meaning. Although today has been a very busy day, I wanted to share some of my insights on his music to bring up a topic that rarely gets talked about now-a-days: The Spirit Behind The Music!

Even The Times of London admitted that, “Blackstar may be the oddest work yet from Bowie”. And most people who knew Bowie, knew he always had a very strange twist to his music, but this one really revealed something working behind the scene that pushed him that direction.

The title cut from that album is a 10-minute mini-movie with a lot of bizarre symbolism and satanic overtones. The song appears to be an affirmation to Satan himself, one who – before his fall – was a musical genius according to Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28. Lucifer was a “perfect” musician, with the talent build into his very being. (Many of the modern Bible versions take out the reverences to Lucifer and his musical ministry. This “covering cherub” was one of God’s most beautiful created angelic beings. He played music that included “pipes” (wind instruments), “viols” (string instruments) and “tabrets” (percussion instruments). Together this built-in plurality of musical implementations formed a “perfect” melody, harmony and the rhythm of heavenly music before the throne of God. This is the place of the cherubim, the amazing, worshipping, artistic, angelic beings.

But something happened to this gorgeous musician – something that happens to so many talented and beautiful artsy people – he became lifted up in his pride, so much so that he thought he could replace God and be worshipped. This will be the same “spirit” [attitude] of the coming antichrist, who like Lucifer, will “exalt himself” and even declare himself as God. (2 Thessalonians 2:4)

When I watched the video and then read the lyrics, I saw that same “spirit” manifest in Bowie’s song. Both the title cut, Blackstar and Lazarus have some very strong religious overtones, but not the kind that a believer would be comfortable with.

The Blackstar song starts off talking about “the villa of Ormen”. A quick search on Google will point you to a pretty disturbing website by that same name; full of occultism and sexual imagery. Actual scenes from Bowie’s video are reflected from that site, complete with “twitching, jerking people”.

The haunting video shows a woman, with a visible tail walking over to a dead astronaut, who had obviously been dead a very long time, for when she opens up his helmet we see his jeweled-studded ancient skull. (This skull is used later in worship ritual where several women bow down to it.) The lyrics of the song repeatedly speak of “a solitary candle in the center of it all”. There is a ton of symbolism just in the opening scenes, but it continued to get more bizarre as the song goes on…

The song goes on to speak of “the day of execution” where women kneel down…at this point, the scene goes to a cornfield where we see three “scarecrows” hanging on three crosses and the song says:

“Something happened on the day he died
Spirit rose a meter and stepped aside
Somebody else took his place, and bravely cried
(I’m a blackstar, I’m a blackstar)”

During this whole portion of the video, it keeps spanning the three hanging men on their crosses, moving about, while it goes back to Bowie (at about 4 minutes in the video) holding what appears to be a Bible/Prayer Book with a large black pentagram on the cover. video Then it does a close up of a bearded man as he writhes about on his cross. (Pretty understandable) The song/video then goes back to the candle (light) “in the center of it all”. The name Lucifer means “light-bearer”. At this point in the video, the jewel-studded skull is surrounded by jerking, twitching modestly dressed women as the appear to be overcome by its presence. (This scene seems to be something you would see in some Pentecostal style meetings as they jerk about.) They raise their hands, dance, kneel and bow to their faces before it. Throughout this entire unsettling video, men and women are shown jerking uncontrollably, as if something had possessed them.

And I think this is exactly what Bowie was trying to portray; for in a very bizarre artistic way, Bowie was showing the “spirit behind his music”. To whatever extent these lyrics can be summarized, they are clearly about worship, ambition, and ascendance—and, more than anything, the allure and power of being “at the center of it all.” To me, it’s the sound of someone gaining significance by insisting upon their significance; someone hungering to be above, unique, and immortal; someone awing the rest of mankind by standing apart from it. It’s about ego, and about how indulging one’s ego can, paradoxically, inspire others to forget their own. THIS IS THE FALL OF SATAN IN A NUTSHELL.

David Bowie spent most of his life entertaining people with his unusual antics, flirting with the devil. In the mid-1970s, Bowie became a drug-crazed recluse. His life at that time was described in the following terms: “Friends who visited Bowie in Los Angeles reported that he was living in a room with the curtains permanently drawn, a bowl of cocaine prominently displayed on the coffee table. Scattered around the floor were books of occultism and mysticism. On the walls he’d scrawled magic pentagrams as protection against the curses he believed had been uttered against him. So convinced did he become that black magicians were planning to destroy him that he hired a white witch to perform an exorcism involving the burning of blue and white candles and the sprinkling of salt” (Steve Turner, Hungry for Heaven, p. 93).

I find it interesting that just two days before his death, the Blackstar album was released. The video from the album, entitled “Lazarus” (the name of the man Jesus raised from the dead) shows Bowie laying on a hospital bed, talking about going to heaven. At 1:05 into the video, a creepy hand reaches up from under the bed – possibly to drag Bowie down, later on showing this imp under the bed at 3:36 in that same video.

David Bowie, like so many other famous rock stars, was an admirer of the famous Satanist Aleister Crowley. He referred to Crowley in his song “Quicksand” from the album “The Man Who Sold the World”. By 1975 biographer Henry Edwards described Bowie as becoming obsessed with Crowleyan rituals and mantras, and would store his urine in the refrigerator due to Crowley – “The Beast’s” advice. Eventually, Bowie looked to witches and exorcism rites to deliver him from the evil spirits he felt controlled his life. (Stardust The David Bowie Story, (McGraw-Hill Book Co., 1986), Henry Edwards and Tony Zanetta, pp. 334, 335, 339)

The director of the Blackstar video was Johan Renck, who is also “a huge Crowley fan” who said that he had “tried to make a movie on his [Crowley’s] life a few years ago.” (Behind “Blackstar”: An Interview With Johan Renck, Justin Joffe, Nov. 19 2015)

Aleister Crowley started the Golden Dawn; it was a magical secret society, a major manifestation of the occult revival which flourished at the end of the 19th century and taught a unique blend of Jewish mysticism (called Cabbala or Kabbalah, can also to be found throughout Bowie’s historic symbolism), astral travel, “sex-magic”, yoga (also practiced by Bowie) and how to communicate with angels and demons.

Bowie himself admitted, “I’ve always felt like a vehicle for something else but then I’ve never really sorted out what that was” (Bowie on Bowie, pg. 31).

As Bowie is one of the most innovative rock stars ever, his displayed multiple personalities, with the paranoid and para–religious myths of Star–Men visiting the earth, either becoming or influencing Messiahs, a Black Star, or trying to live as discreet “Lodgers” among the Earthlings.

(Aleister Crowley had a large influence on fellow rockers including Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourne, Graham Bond, Jim Morrison of the Doors, Iron Maiden lead singer Bruce Dickinson, Daryl Hall of the rock duo Hall and Oates, Sting, formerly of the Police, Marilyn Manson, Stiv Bators, lead singer for The Dead Boys and Lords of the New Church, Rolling Stone’s Mick Jagger, and the Beatles.)

In an interview in 1972, Bowie claimed he was homosexual. Bowie blasphemously said, “Jesus Christ was a strange boy himself ” (Hit Parader, June 19, 1975).

TV Guide called him the leader of the gender- benders. He was once named the number one male singer and the number three female singer in the same poll in Britain. Bowie’s ex-wife, Angela Barnett, was kicked out of a Connecticut college because of lesbianism. The two allegedly met while involved with the same man. On Thursday nights, during their marriage, David visited gay bars while Angela visited lesbian clubs, and they brought home people they found (Time, July 18, 1983, p. 58).

What I find interesting are the allusions loosely referring to Christ being “executed”, and “only women” bowing down, and his spirit rising and BEING REPLACED by one who bravely declares to be “a blackstar”.

The next verse tells us this “blackstar” speaks of a FALLEN “ANGEL”…how he “trod on sacred ground, he cried loud into the crowd” and ends up declaring, “I’M THE GREAT I AM (I’m a blackstar)” This is exactly what Lucifer did, he trod on sacred ground – in front of the very throne of God – and declared that he would become God.

It’s worth noting here, that angels are called “stars” in the Bible. This blackstar, who I believe represents Satan, is referred to in Revelation as having swept down 1/3 of “the stars” with his tail when he rebelled and fell from heaven.

Sometimes it is hard for people to perceive “the spirit behind the music”, but I think most of you will detect this if you will watch it.

The bottom line is this: Either your music is drawing your closer to the heart of God, or your music is pulling you further away from the heart of God. Satan knows the power of music on a very personal level. I think it goes without saying that he has taken music and twisted it to such a place that it no longer represents and honors the Lord, the actual Creator of music. What does your music reflect?

It is very sad that David Bowie has died not knowing the Lord.  The last thing he did was to release an album that mocks Christianity, and the cross.  So, if you ask me where David Bowie is today, I am afraid I have to answer “in Hell”.  The only people who go to Heaven are the people who have a testimony of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and there is no evidence that Bowie ever did that.

For people who live like the world, but have claimed faith in Jesus, I could only say “I don’t know”; maybe they are true believers who are backslidden.  For the case of David Bowie it is more like he died shaking his fist at God.  No saved person would ever do that.

For his family, I know this is no comfort, but I have to point out that if you are alive today you can still call on Jesus to save you.  It does not matter how much you have sinned, Jesus is greater than all of your sin!

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 6:23

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  Romans 10:9

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Romans 10:13

World War 3 and the Rapture

If you follow Christian End Times prophecy teachers, it will not be long before you find someone who is teaching that the Gog/Magog war is a post-rapture, early Tribulation war. It seems like almost all Dispensationalists are saying this, but I have spent a lot of time recently showing, from the bible, that the Gog Magog war is actually a pre-Tribulation, pre-Rapture event.

I am not picking on anyone in particular when I object to some of the comments found at; http://servehiminthewaiting.com/2015/12/30/isis-fears-no-one-but-israel/ I tried to post the below comments on that page, but for some reason it was not able to accept them. I will keep on trying but in the mean time I have some comments that are applicable to anyone who thinks the Gog/Magog war is a post-rapture, early Tribulation event;

The speaker states that the Ezekiel 38-39 war will happen AFTER the Rapture. Please read Zephaniah 2:1-3, and you will see that Israel will be “gathered” before the Tribulation. Note that “gathered” is past tense; there will be no more gathering of Israel during, or after, the Tribulation. (1/3 of Israel will flee to the wilderness, and be saved there, but they will not be dispersed. They will remain together as a nation.)

  1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;  2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’S anger come upon you.  3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger. 

Zeph. 2:3 states that the “Meek of the earth” will be hidden during the Tribulation. This is a rapture passage, and it indicates that the rapture will occur after Israel is gathered. (They will be hidden in their chambers in Heaven, not on the earth. Isaiah 26:19-21)

Now read Ezekiel 39:25-28, and you will see that the final remnants of Israel are being gathered AFTER this war. In other words, the Ezekiel 38-39 war is a Church-Age event!

25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;  26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.  27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;  28 Then shall they know that Iam the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

It is true that Ezekiel 38:8 states that the people in Israel will have been gathered before this attack, but this does not mean that all Israel have been gathered, only that the ones already there have been gathered.  This war will occur when most of Israel has been gathered, but it is this war itself that provides the incentive for the last remnants to return; They will believe (incorrectly) that this war IS the time of Jacob’s trouble, and “once it is over then it is safe to return”.  Nothing could be further from the truth!

Isaiah 27:12-13 indicates that Israel will be gathered at a time when the Lord beats off their enemies from the Euphrates to the Nile (This is a reference to the Ezekiel 38-39 war).  It is this fulfilment of His promise to Abraham that will lead them to believe that they are in for a time of “Peace and Safety”.

12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel. 13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

“The Great Trumpet” shall be blown as the final remnants of Israel are being gathered.  In order for this trumpet to be “great” it has to do a lot.

I don’t think there is more than one “Great Trumpet” in Scripture. This is not the same as the trumpet judgments of Revelation, but is the final trumpet in the gathering of Israel, and simultaneously the call to the Church to go Home! This Trumpet does “dual duty” as it signifies the end of the Church-Age, and the return to the age of Israel, for their last 7 years!

Paul had no knowledge of the book of Revelation, since it was written some 30+ years after his death. He had an Old Testament trumpet in mind, and it was the Holy Spirit who put him in mind of that trumpet.

Doesn’t a trumpet blast end with a crescendo? It is the nature of a trumpet blast to end with the greatest sound. So the Great Trumpet of Isaiah 27:13 is also the Last Trumpet of I Corinthians 15:51-52 .

 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,  52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 

When you put these passages together it places the rapture shortly AFTER the end of the Gog/Magog war, and yet still BEFORE the Tribulation.

If the world considers Ezekiel’s war to be World War 3, then the rapture will occur after WW3!  First, however, even before this war begins, a major factor in the coming-together of this coalition of nations will be the Psalm 83 war, where the Sunni Muslims (with the exceptions of Turkey, Sudan, and Libya) will make an all-out-attack against Israel.  It is the political realignments which occur after the Psalm 83 war which lead to the Gog/Magog war!

Regarding the Gog/Magog war, the speaker names only a few of the nations involved; Russia and Iran.

Just because Iran and Russia are cooperating does not mean that the Gog/Magog war is imminent. Lots of other nations will be involved in that war, and they are not yet cooperating with either Russia, or Iran. Don’t forget that just before Christmas, Turkey shot down a Russian fighter aircraft. Truly, the members of the Gog/Magog coalition are, for the most part, still at each others throats!

Russia’s SU-24 goes down in flames, inside Syria

Search for the recent articles regarding this war and you will see that the nations involved will include the Celts, England, Germany, France, Scandinavia, the Eastern European Slavs, as well as Turkey, Russia, Iran, Ethiopia/Sudan, and Libya.

That day is not far-off, but it is not as close as the speaker would have us believe.

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. Luke 21:8

Note that in Luke 21:8 one of the End Times deceptions Jesus warns us about is that false teachers will come in His name, and they will be saying “the time draweth near”. Many prophecy teachers are “jumping the gun”, when they should be in the Word. Rushing God in this way will ultimately lead many to deception, and to affirm the real Antichrist when he shows up!

I have detailed all of this in The Spirit of Prophecy, as well as much more. This book was designed to be a “pain-in-the-neck” to the Antichrist as he goes about setting up his kingdom.

Christmas errors

Christmas is over and everyone is tired of it, but I want to examine some of the common Christmas errors, before we put the subject to bed;

How many people sing Christmas carols with gusto, not actually thinking about what they are saying? I used to be that way myself, but more recently I think about the words as I am singing them. Sometimes this means that I stop singing in the middle of a song.

I don’t like to be difficult to get along with, but sometimes the words of songs, Christmas and otherwise, reveal a different view of the bible, than what I could ascribe to.

We were visiting my wife’s parent’s church on Christmas eve and were singing “Joy to the World” by Isaac Watts. Suddenly I realized that the words are not quite appropriate for the age in which we live;

Joy to the World , the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Isaac Watts was a Non-conformist, of sorts, but as I was singing these words, I realized that they are not true in the world today.

Consider the line “Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!”; Jesus is the Saviour, but does He reign today? While He is sitting down at the right hand of God the Father, He is today our High Priest, making intercession for the saints. No. The biblical passages which speak of Jesus’ reign actually refer to a time when He will physically reign on the earth from Jerusalem.  These are a reference to the Millennial kingdom.

The phrase “Nor thorns infest the ground;” is a reference to Ezekiel 28:24, which is a prophecy of the millennial reign; when Jesus will reign on earth, personally from Jerusalem!

Do the nations prove the glories of His righteousness, and wonders of His love? Today ISIS slaughters Christians wherever they find them. Thousands have died at their hands and hundreds of thousands have had to flee for their lives.

During the Soviet Union over 60 million people lost their lives at the hands of the Communist governments of Lenin and Stalin. In China, over 30 million lost their lives during Mao’s reign of terror. As mentioned before, over 54 million lost their lives during WW2.  54 million Americans have lost their lives at the hands of their own mothers!

If these statistics are to be expected when Jesus rules the world, as post-Millennialists claim, then His rule differs little from the rule of Satan!

No! Isaac Watts appears to have been some sort of post-Millennialist, and while we may have some sentimental attachment to his song, the words to “Joy to the World” are not relevant in the age in which we live! They will be appropriate during the real millennial reign, but not today.  We are not in the millennial kingdom!

Post-Millennialism teaches that we are in the Millennial reign of Christ today, and that it is the job of the Church to take-over the world. This same teaching can be seen in the New Apostolic Reformation teachings today who say that “Jesus can’t return until we take over the world and hand it to Him! This is not taught in the bible, but must be read into it!

The basis of this philosophy is that Jesus is not powerful enough to take-over the world by Himself, and needs our help to do so!

This is blasphemy! The “Jesus” of Post-Millennialism is NOT the Jesus of the Bible!

Post-Millennialism is a philosophy that discounts the power of God, and elevates men. It focuses on this world, and on man’s accomplishments!

The day is coming when “Joy to the World” will be appropriate, but between now and then there will be a lot of sorrow on this planet!

What about “As With Gladness Men of Old”?

1. As with gladness, men of old
Did the guiding star behold;
As with joy they hailed its light,
Leading onward, beaming bright;
So, most gracious Lord, may we
Evermore be led to Thee.

2. As with joyful steps they sped
To that lowly manger-bed;
There to bend the knee before
Him Whom heaven and earth adore;
So may we with willing feet
Ever seek the mercy-seat.

3. As they offered gifts most rare
At that manger rude and bare;
So may we, with holy joy,
Pure and free from sin’s alloy,
All our costliest treasures bring,
Christ! to Thee our heavenly King.

The men who followed the light of the star were the wise men who came to Bethlehem when Jesus was around one to two years old. They did not find Him in a manger, in a stable, but in a house! (Matthew 2:11)

The things this carol is teaching are error. How far do we allow artistic license to go? Should we allow any when it comes to holy things? Is it OK to go beyond the teachings of the bible? In this case it teaches things that directly contradict what the bible says.  Just so you know, things that directly contradict the bible are not Christian at all!

Away in a Manger

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head.

The stars in the sky looked down where he lay,
The little Lord Jesus asleep in the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,
But little Lord Jesus no crying he makes.

I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky
And stay by my cradle til morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever, and love me, I pray.

Bless all the dear children in thy tender care,
And take us to heaven, to live with Thee there

Again, here we are taught doctrines that are not found in the bible; This song teaches that there were cattle in the stable where Jesus was born. The bible does not say this, however. Someone thought that his imagination was good enough to add to the things of the bible.

The same goes for the idea that Jesus didn’t cry. The bible does not say this, so we have no license to repeat it!

Most Children in Jesus’ care will not enter Heaven!  The Lake of Fire awaits them!  Nevertheless it is right that we should pray for the lost; we should pray for their salvation.  The problem with such a simplistic line is that it implies a universal Salvation.

How about “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”?

God rest ye merry, gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember, Christ, our Saviour
Was born on Christmas day…

No. Jesus was not born on December 25th! The best evidence is that He was born in September, but the hills of Israel are cold in December, and they do get snow. Not only this but the first Antichrist, Tammuz of Babylon, was born on the winter Solstice, which is December 21st. There is no way that God would have His son born so close to the birthday of the founder of Paganism!

Now look at the last verse’

Now to the Lord sing praises,
All you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas
All other doth deface.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Christmas is anything but holy. The commands of the bible are holy, but keeping Christmas is not one of them!

Christmas is not mentioned in the bible, and no Christians celebrated this holiday for hundreds of years after the life of Christ! Popes created Christmas as a way of providing an alternative to the Pagan Solstice celebrations.

There are so many other carols that contain error. How can we sing songs that lie about Jesus Christ? You see we are a generation that is used to lying, to the point that we think nothing of it! We expect politicians NOT to keep their promises, and when we buy a used car we really don’t expect the salesman’s promises to be true!

In Canada we elected a new prime minister in November, and within a month he had broken just about all of his election promises!  The truth is that he actually does represent most Canadians!

But here’s what God says about lying;

Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. Proverbs 12:22

16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, Proverbs 6:16-17

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation of John 21:8

So, does it honour Jesus Christ when we sing carols that contain lies? Is He pleased with this? You know we do this to satisfy our own desire for sentimentality, not to truly honour Him!

When I was young I used to sing these carols with enthusiasm, but I can’t do it now. This is what repentance means; a change of mind that results in a change of behaviour!

All liars do indeed have a place in the lake of fire. I told my share of lies in my youth, so there is a place there with my name on it! Praise God I won’t be occupying my place, however, for Jesus Christ took my sin on Him when He died on the cross! When we see what we actually deserve we will be horrified! We will indeed see it, and we will also see our loved ones burning there for ever!

New Version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”

We saw this video at a Christmas Eve. service last night, and I was so impressed I wanted to pass this on to you.

Sometimes Christians do their own version of secular songs, and sometimes they are OK, and sometimes even good, but I was surprised by the quality of this remake of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”.  This is excellent!

In my opinion this song should become a Christmas/Gospel classic.  It is beautifully done, and it contains the whole story of the coming of the Messiah.  It is not only about a virgin having a baby, or that he was born in a stable, but the purpose of His coming is woven-in!  These musicians aren’t afraid to speak of the rugged cross!

The original song had a wonderful tune, but the phrase “hallelujah” seemed ironic. This story gives us a real reason to sing “Hallelujah”!

Leonard Cohen takes his name from the Cohanim, the descendants of Aaron the High priest of Israel.  So, it is fitting that such a beautiful song about the Son of God should have a connection to the priesthood of Israel!

Star Wars and Christianity

This week marked the release of the new Star Wars movie “The Force Awakens”, to much fanfare and hoopla. Neighbours of ours purchased tickets in advance and drove the sixty miles to Toronto to see it on opening night.

No doubt this franchise has gathered millions of fans since the first movie was released in 1977. I was one of the early fans, being taken to see the movie by my father. My dad was a Baptist, and I wonder, in hindsight, if he ever realized what he had awakened in me?

You see the worldview promoted by Star Wars, from the very first movie, is a neo-pagan anti-Christian worldview.

Packaged in a slick and engaging story line, most viewers don’t realize that they are being manipulated into a pagan worldview, as I was.

You see, while being billed as a story about a fight between good and evil, Star Wars does not have any objective way of defining good and evil. In fact the god of Star Wars is merely a force which can be used for either good or evil. In other words the god of Star Wars can be good or evil, thus good or evil is merely one side of god or the other.

So, if God is both good and evil then He would have no reason to create Hell, and no reason to judge anyone for being evil. This is wishful thinking of course, but it is part of the philosophy that underlies paganism. Both sides of this New Age God are Satan, in fact!

The other part of paganism which naturally follows is the idea that God IS all things, or that God is IN all things. This is known as pantheism, or panentheism. Thus the idea that “all is One”, or that “humanity collectively is God”. It also follows that animals, and rocks, are just as much a part of God as is man.  These are doctrines taught as a part of witchcraft!

There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.  12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: Deuteronomy 18:10

This is the worldview that Lucas, Disney, and Star Wars is teaching in every frame of these movies!

The bible, however, teaches a different view of God. The God of the bible is the Creator of everything, He holds everything together, and He is everywhere at once, but He is not a part of His creation.

This is the primary meaning of the word “holy”; separate. God is separate from His creation. And, though he took on a body and lived among us, and though He died for our sins, He was not affected by sin. The Son of God is as Holy as His Father.

This world is about God the Son, but the Star Wars movies are about you, and how you can manipulate your way around the world using supernatural forces, which is the very definition of witchcraft.

We are in the last days of this age, and the prophet Daniel actually spoke about this “God of forces” in a passage about the Antichrist;

“But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.” Daniel 11:38

Here the Antichrist honours the God of Star Wars. So don’t think the Star Wars series is a harmless story of good versus evil. It is actually a pagan story designed to deceive the world, and it is working wonderfully!

As I was researching this article I came across several reviews of Star Wars that claim that there are Christian themes in this movie! This is incorrect. What makes the bible a Christian book? It is the presence of Jesus Christ! Jesus is in the bible from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22. It is all about Him.

If you have an ostensibly moral story, however, which ignores the author of morality, it is not Christian in the least! So, please don’t tell me that Star Wars has Christian themes, it has nothing of the sort!

The Star Wars series may be a triumph of story telling, and artistic excellence, and since Satan, and Disney, have put a lot of resources into it, why wouldn’t it be? Many people who think they are Christians will go to this film, thinking that it is just harmless entertainment! Nevertheless, you should know that as you watch this movie you are being indoctrinated into a neo-pagan, Antichrist worldview.

I really don’t recommend that anyone goes to see this movie, unless you are watching it with a view to exposing its paganism and spiritual errors. Even then, don’t do that unless you are thoroughly familiar with the bible, and are willing to put the bible’s teachings above the teachings of man. Whatever you do, don’t take children to see this film!

Because this movie is subtle it is very dangerous.  I am convinced that God has chosen aliens and UFOs as one facet of the End Times delusion.  As such Star Wars is a tool of God’s judgment!

I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not. Isaiah 66:4

Climate Hustle

As I reported in The Spirit of Prophecy, it has been the plan of globalists to use fear of global warming, or global cooling, since the 1974 release of the Club of Rome’s blueprint for a global government, “Mankind at the Turning Point“.  I quoted from that book, and we can see in the newspapers around us, that they have been following this plan ever since.

This is the point behind the global warming hype that has dominated the media since Al Gore wrote his “Inconvenient Truth” which is really just lies and propaganda.

The truth is that the bible warns us that there will be a global government in the last days.  We cannot stop this process, but at the same time, we do not have to go along with it.  Christians should uphold the truth at all costs, and the idea of anthropogenic global warming is actually a fraud.

About 4,500 years ago there was an ice-age.  The ice-age was not caused by human action, and when the glaciers melted, the global warming at that time was not caused by human action either!

Historical records show that olive trees grew on the Rhine river in Europe until the seventh century.  At that point there was rapid global cooling and the olives died.  They have not yet come back, giving evidence that the world is still cooler than it was during the time of Christ!

If the warmists (the Climate Nazis) were correct, and we actually needed to reduce CO2 emissions to cool down the earth, it would result in people having to spend more money burning more fossil fuels during the winters, to keep warm!

No, global warming would benefit the whole planet, if it were a fact, but the evidence is that the hype is a major fraud being perpetrated upon the unsuspecting people of earth by unprincipled con-artists!  Yeah, that’s right, people like David Suzuki and Al Gore are nothing more than snake-oil salesmen.  They have made millions with their alarmism. That’s my opinion!

Marc Morano has just released a ground breaking documentary “Climate Hustle” in Paris during the recent Climate Conference!  Here is the trailer for the movie, and I would recommend you get a copy and pass it around to as many people as you can!

This is a film that will present the facts in a humorous way that makes you think.  I recommend it.  Buy a copy.  Buy a dozen copies if you can afford it and pass it around!

By the way, The Spirit of Prophecy is the most accurate biblical End-Times study you will find, and it makes an excellent Christmas gift for prophecy buffs.

Unfriended Again

Have you ever been “unfriended” on Facebook? It seems to happen to me quite regularly. As the saying goes “I have been kicked out of better places than this!” In fact Andy Woods unfriended me, over my comments about polygamy, and Andy Woods certainly has a better grasp on Scripture than this group of Judaizers. I just disagree with him on one or two subjects, and can show from Scripture why he is wrong, but I am not writing about Andy Woods today.

A few weeks ago someone on Facebook, one wil’Liam Scott Hall, sent me a friend request. As usual I checked out his page before approving the “friendship” I hesitated because I could see from his page that he spent a lot of time attacking the New Testament and Christianity, but I reasoned that maybe I could help him, so I agreed.

In spite of his gentile name this person has converted to Judaism, and consequently spends his time attacking everything about Jesus Christ. I spent some time showing him and his followers why they are wrong, but they always have a comeback. Often I would respond to one person only to have ten reply back, each on a different tack. I came to dread their replies because each one would take hours to research and they would simply change the subject and keep on. It was truly a blessing to be unfriended by this group!

Since he has unfriended me, he has also blocked me from viewing his posts, so I am not sure I will be able to get too many quotes for you, but I’ll try to find some of them in my email pile.  Here’s one.  I can’t remember what my statement was, but you will see the tone immediately in the reply;

‘LOL! IT is NOT impossible! The “true christians,” died out long ago with the “primitive chuch!” As soon as you begin to put into practice the decisions of the council of Nicea, you CEASE to be a christian…and you form part of that cult that came later! YES, that includes your precious “nondenominational churches!” The following is the Nicean Creed. If this is your faith, then you are NOT a christian! You are the product of idolatry made state religion by Constantine! “believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. Constantine, of course, was Baptized by an Arian Bishop shortly before his death. The doctrine of the Arians is virtually the same as the modern Jehovah’s Witness cult, who deny the deity of Christ, and the deity of the Holy Spirit, and thus their beliefs line up more closely to Judaism than to Christianity.

The true Christians have not died out, although their numbers are dwindling today. We can trace true Christianity, not through the Roman Church, but through a group of biblical Churches stretching all the way back to the second century. Groups like the Novatians, Donatists, the Early Celtic Churches, the Albigenses, the Waldenses, the Armenians, the Anabaptists, and even Baptists up until the late 1800s. Unfortunately, by the late 1800s Rome’s influence was spreading even into Baptist Churches, nevertheless there are still a few believers among the Baptists to this day. In fact there are a handful of believers even in liberal denominations, although I would recommend you come out of them, if this is you!

Contrary to Roma Luna’s contentions, the true bible did not come from the Council of Nicaea, but was already in use in the Christian Churches long before that time. Even the book of Revelation, which was not included at Nicaea, was already in use from the late first century. The bible was recognized by Christians without having any “Church Council” to tell them what to read; the Holy Spirit had already done that!

‘Daniel Knezacek, Remember how we said the KJV is a very poor translation? Well, if you missed us saying that, be assured it is very poor indeed. But that’s not the only problem with Christians trying to read God’s Holy Scriptures. Another is that they have no idea what they are reading, nor do they understand context and idiom. To begin, let’s look at a JEWISH translation, and some of what you claimed the text says vanishes immediately. “1 Gather yourselves together! Yea, gather together, O nation that has no desire, אהִתְקוֹשְׁשׁוּ וָקוֹשּׁוּ הַגּוֹי לֹא נִכְסָף: 2 before the decree is born, as chaff that passes..the sun; before the fierce anger of the Lord comes upon you; before the day of the Lord’s anger comes upon you. בבְּטֶרֶם לֶדֶת חֹק כְּמוֹץ עָבַר יוֹם בְּטֶרֶם | לֹא יָבוֹא עֲלֵיכֶם חֲרוֹן אַף יְהֹוָה בְּטֶרֶם לֹא יָבוֹא עֲלֵיכֶם יוֹם אַף יְהֹוָה: 3 Seek the Lord, all you humble of the earth who executed His judgment; Seek righteousness, seek humility! I am sorry to inflict this rubbish on true Christian brothers, it grieves my spirit to read such trash as well.

To say that Zephaniah 2:1 says Israel is a “nation that has no desire” is utterly foolish. This is a translation by someone who does not know God. Think about it, every nation, every person has desires. Israel always had desires. Why would God be talking about bringing God’s wrath on a nation that has no desires? Why would He be angry with a nation that has no desires?

No one would come up with this translation unless they were attempting to hide the original meaning, and that is exactly what Jewish translators have been trying to do since the first century. Don’t forget they are trying to write Jesus-off. To discredit Him, because otherwise they have to admit that they missed their Messiah! And they have!

No, the King James Bible is the most accurate bible translation in the world. God has no desire for the modern nation of Israel, because they have failed to recognize their Messiah. They will be left behind at the rapture because of this lack of desire on God’s part. He does NOT desire to have them in Heaven! Their attacks on the Messiah have offended God to the point of anger! He will bring them together, however, because He remembers the promises He made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and He will bring them to a place where they will recognize their Messiah! He will bring them to the place of repentance, and He will destroy those who refuse!

5:15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Hosea 5:15-6:2

Israel will seek the Lord during the Tribulation. This is the sense of Hosea’s statements about the Lord has “smitten” and “torn” Israel. This particular smiting and tearing will occur during the Tribulation period, at a time shortly after the Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38-39 wars when Israel thinks they are about to receive many great blessings, and the lifting-up of their kingdom above all the kingdoms of the world.

And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness. Malachi 3:3

Think of what He is saying here; refiners use intense heat to purify gold and silver. That heat is so intense that it drives-off the dross, or the slag. This is the picture of the Tribulation, and furthermore Zechariah 13 reveals that 2/3 of Israel will die at that time!

8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. 9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

The Tribulation will be a terrible time. In fact it will be the most terrible time the earth has ever seen. No-one will come through unscathed, but 100% of the survivors, both Jew and Gentile will be believers in the Lord Jesus Christ! But who would want to return to the land of their ancestors, knowing that they had a 66% chance of dying in the next few years, and 100% chance of going through incredible horrors?

God is going to allow the illusion of fulfilment of the kingdom prophecies during the time from the Psalm 83 war to the Gog/Magog war, and after. This is how He will bring the last remnants back to the land. The Jews who are wary of the Time of Jacob’s trouble will be brought to a place where they think it is all over!

As I pondered the meaning of the attack against the gospel and against the Lord Himself, I realized that this movement, back to the law, the Torah, among former Christians and Messianics is actually a part of the End Times deception. In order for Israel to return to the land they will have to be convinced that the end Times prophecies concerning Israel have actually come true (past tense i.e. that they are over!);

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. Zechariah 8:23

And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. Isaiah 61:5

These verses will indeed come true in the time after the Tribulation, but there is a great danger in misinterpreting the times. The Jews, like all people, want to be lifted up and praised. Like all people they are susceptible to flattery. This is one of the big traps of Islam; Muslims are told in the Qur’an that they are special, and specially favoured by Allah, and that they deserve to be honoured by the rest of the world.

It is the same with Israel, and the time when the Gog/Magog war is over will be a time when the people of the world will flatter Israel, because it will be clearly obvious that God has favoured them in that war. There will be many volunteers from all over the world who will willingly go and work for the Israelis in Israel, and they will allow this flattery, and God’s providence in that war, to convince them that the Time of Jacob’s trouble is over, and they can now rest in their own land.

These volunteers will come from groups of people who have a love for Israel, but no understanding of the gospel or God’s plan of salvation. No doubt groups like I encountered on Facebook, and followers of men like John Hagee will make up the volunteers in this great deception.

This is the hiss found in Zechariah 10:8

“I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.”

God’s “hiss” for Israel is not a friendly hiss. “Hisses” are never friendly. And please don’t think that the next statement means that they are saved. The word “redeemed” simply means “purchased”. God redeemed Israel when He died on the cross, and now they are His property, to do with as He pleases! Some will go to Heaven and the rest will perish in the lake of fire.

He actually redeemed the whole world at that time, but the majority still are not going to Heaven. They were purchased by His sacrifice, but only those who receive Him are actually saved.

So how could God “hiss” for Israel to get them to return? God will not lie Himself, rather He will use Satan and his servants to convince Israel that it is safe to return. And, these deceptive servants will deceive them with the lies of Satan! They are already working on them!

This encounter with gospel deniers has shown me the need for some apologetics, so in my next instalment, Lord willing, I will take a look at some of the prophetic passages that these people deny.

Thoughts on the Paris Massacre

As the world reels in shock at the events in Paris on Friday, November 13, 2015, our politicians are doubling down on their plans to import more “Syrian” refugees, and to speed up the process!

To the average man-in-the-street these contradictions are confusing, however they console themselves by saying that our leaders are smarter than us, have greater access to information, and have a greater understanding of the nuances of public policy and politics.

Surely these politicians we elected have our best interests at heart? Don’t they?

Even as it is revealed that at least one of the Paris attackers entered Europe as a Syrian “refugee”, rescued from a sinking boat on October 3 this year, we are being told that there are no risks, no dangers to allowing tens of thousands of Syrian “refugees” into our nations.

From a purely logical standpoint, this is ludicrous. From the standpoint of past world leaders this would be equally foolish. Can you imagine a Churchill or Cromwell allowing millions of enemy aliens into their nation?

What is going on today, however, is not what occurred in the past; While our western leaders look foolish to the average man, this is all according to a plan.

This is the outworking of the process known as the “Hegelian dialectic”. Have you ever heard of this term before? Maybe not, but you can be certain that you have been exposed to its tactics.

“Hegelian dialectic, usually presented in a threefold manner, was stated by Heinrich Moritz Chalybäus as comprising three dialectical stages of development: a thesis, giving rise to its reaction, an antithesis, which contradicts or negates the thesis, and the tension between the two being resolved by means of a synthesis.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dialectic

In its simplified form the Hegelian Dialectic can be stated as a formula; thesis + antithesis = synthesis. It could also be expressed in the idea that “conflict produces change; controlled conflict produces controlled change”. In this formula “thesis” is the established order, or the thing they are attempting to destroy. In today’s society “thesis” stands for the established system of private property ownership, commonly referred to as capitalism, and/or Judeo/Christian society.

The idea of the dialectic is to introduce an opposite idea and allow the two ideas to conflict with each other and the result is referred to as “synthesis”.

The basic error in this formula is that a group of people think they have the right to control the direction of where society is going. They think they have the right to play “God” with other people’s lives. A Christian merely tells the world what God says, but we don’t attempt to control other’s lives. That’s between you and God.

The other error is the idea that real truth can be found through conflict between two ideas; If you have the truth there is no need to dialogue with or conflict with any other philosophy. Truth can stand on its own. (This is why Jesus told us to “preach the gospel”. Notice He didn’t say “Start a dialogue with the world”. The world has nothing to tell us,and every time it tries, such as evolution, it is always lies!) Continue reading →
