Some thoughts on Theresa and Donald

Well, it has been a while since I have written. In the mean time Theresa May has lost her majority in the British election, and Donald Trump has made a trip to the Middle East.

You know, as I studied who the nations are who comprise the attacking nations in Ezekiel 38-39 I became convinced that the British Isles, Germany, and the other Germanic nations, along with Central Europe, Russia, Turkey, Iran, and Libya will all unite in that war (along with many others).

You will find a lot of bible teachers today downplay, or ignore entirely, the involvement of the UK in that war. Most people find it unthinkable that the UK could join Germany and Russia in an attack on tiny little Israel! “The UK is a “Christian” nation, and has always been on the side of fairness and decency! Haven’t they?”

And so what happens is that people’s pre-conceived notions and prejudices drive their understanding of Scripture!

Such people ignore the replacement theology that is common in UK Christendom. They also ignore the long-standing tendency of the UK to support Palestinian causes against Israel. They ignore the broken promises of the Balfour Declaration. And they ignore the fact that Anti-Semitism and Anti-Israelism is rampant in places like Scotland and Ireland!

I took heart that the UK voted to leave the EU with their Brexit vote last year, but was a little concerned that Theresa May was voted in as their new leader, After all, she had campaigned for the “remain” side of that vote. Still, she promised to lead the UK out of the EU and I had hopes that she would keep her word.

I am absolutely certain that the bible’s account will occur exactly as prophesied, but there is always hope that the Lord will relent and delay the inevitable. Indeed, even as we move toward that war, Christians need to speak-out on behalf of Israel, and to warn their nations of the dangers of going up against God’s chosen people.

Yes, in the Church-age Israel is still the apple-of-God’s-eye. Though many in that nation are not saved, God still has a special relationship with them. He is going to bring them all back to the land, like a manufacturer recalling a defective product, and once there He will bring the Time of Jacob’s trouble upon them.

This is the purpose of the Gog, and Magog war, of Ezekiel 38-39.

The nation will interpret that war as a sign that the worst is over, The Time of Jacob’s Trouble is over, and it is safe to return! In fact,however, that war is the last major event of the Church-age! Shortly after that war is over, the last remaining members of the house of Israel will return, the Rapture will occur, and the Antichrist will rise to power!

So, as I look at current events in Europe, it really doesn’t matter if the UK stays in the EU or if they leave; They will ultimately join the aforementioned nations in their attack on Israel! They may leave and then later form some sort of economic and military alliance with the other Western European nations, or they may stay in, and participate as full-fledged members of the EU. Either way the results will be the same.

As we look at the failure of the European nations to confront Islamic extremism in their midst it is becoming more and more apparent that the current influx of Muslim immigrants will result in those nations being dragged into Ezekiel’s war!

I for one, don’t think that war is imminent. My studies have led me to the conclusion that before Ezekiel’s war takes place, there is another war which will embroil the Middle East; The Psalm 83 war.

As I examined in the Spirit of Prophecy, the nations listed by their patriarchs in Psalm 83 form a ring around Israel. Every one of those nations have attacked Israel from time to time throughout history, sometimes even in groups of nations, but all ten of them have never attacked together.

Abraham’s son Ishmael was the patriarch of the Saudi Arabians, and the Hagarenes, or Hagarites, of southern Syria. As the driving force of Wahhabi Islam, I view the Saudis as a great danger, not only to Israel, but to the world in general. Wahhabism is a strict form of Islam that insists on a literal interpretation of the Qur’an. The Saudis are known supporters of Islamic terrorism around the world.

So it is with alarm that I view the current Israeli cooperation with Saudi Arabia. Because the Saudis are not currently making threats against Israel, and are cooperating in intelligence gathering efforts against Iran, does not fill me with confidence.

I was watching Amir Tsarfati the other day, and was surprised that he thinks the Psalm 83 war is over and that Saudi Arabia no longer poses a danger to Israel.

Please don’t get me wrong, I love Amir as a brother, and I consider him to be an excellent journalist and source of information of what is going on in Israel, but he is wrong about the Saudi’s. They still pose a grave danger to Israel, and the Israelis need to keep their eyes on the Saudis.

You see the nations included in the Psalm 83 war are not included in the Ezekiel 38-39 war. The obvious reason is that they attack first and are defeated and subdued. As you will see in Amir’s video the Saudis appear to be cooperating with Israel, but I think this is actually a prelude to war, and a deception. In fact this subterfuge is alluded to in the Psalm account;

2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. 3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. 4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

You see, the Psalm 83 war will be a surprise attack, and it will very nearly result in the destruction of Israel. This is what it means by “crafty counsel”! In the past the enemies of Israel amassed on the border before they attacked, but this one will happen when Israel thinks they are safe!

In fact I believe that Israel will be forced to use WMDs during that war. This is the war that will result in the destruction of Damascus (Isaiah 17:1), Lebanon (Zechariah 11:1), Cairo (Isaiah 19:17-18), and likely many other Arab cities.

So, when I heard of Donald Trump’s $110 billion arms deal with the Saudis it caught my attention. What are the chances that those weapons will one day be used against Israel, during the Psalm 83 war? I would say “astronomically high”! Even if they are used against Iran, with Israel’s cooperation, they will then turn and use them against Israel herself!

Amir is correct that Sheba and Dedan are Saudi Arabia, but Tarshish is most likely the port of Tartus in Syria, and very likely their new capital after the destruction of Damascus. Look at the language these nations use against the invading forces;

13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

The little word “come” is very significant. These nations are not saying “are you going”, as they would say if they were in North America. They are using this language because they are in the way the invading armies must travel on their journey to Israel. Having been disarmed after the Psalm 83 war, they will be helpless to stop the invaders, but only able to register a complaint!

I know Mr. Trump, and even the Israelis, think the Saudis can be trusted, but I think this is a mistake. It is a yuuge mistake, but I don’t think Trump or Israel have any ill intentions against the people of Israel. It is just that the Saudis are very good at practicing Taqiyya! (Taqiyya: the Muslim practice of lying to their enemies to gain an advantage)

The practice began when Mohammad made a ten-year treaty with the people of the Quraysh tribe of Mecca, and then found a pretext to break it in the second year!

I want you to see some of the passages in the Qur’an that teach this;

Qur’an 2:225 Allah will not hold you responsible for your mere utterance in an oath, but he will hold you responsible for that which your hearts gained. And Allah is forgiving, forbearing.

A Muslim can make an oath to an unbeliever, so long as he intends to break it in his heart!

3:28 Believers do not take the infidels for friends, rather than the believers, and whoever does this so he has nothing to do with Allah, except that you should guard yourself from them, cautiously. And Allah himself warns you, and to Allah is the final return.

Muslims can pretend to be friends with unbelievers, so long as they guard their hearts from the things the unbeliever says!

3:54 And they deceived, and Allah deceived. And Allah is the best deceiver.

The God of Islam is a deceiver! The bible says that God cannot lie, and that Satan is the deceiver! So who is the God of the Qur’an?

66:1 O you prophet, why do you forbid what Allah has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is forgiving, merciful. 2 Indeed, Allah has allowed you to be released from your oaths. And Allah is your protector, and he is the knowing, the wise.

So the God of Islam allowed Mohammad to break his vows, and Muslims have been following his example ever since!

But the God of the bible says;

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; Titus 1:2

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: Psalms 50:14

But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. James 5:12

If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth. Numbers 30:2

But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Deuteronomy 7:8

God is very different from the Allah of the Qur’an.  Western politicians like Donald Trump, Barack Obama, Theresa May, Angela Merkel, etc. are making a serious mistake believing the claims of Muslim “scholars” and apologists!

So, with the exception of his treatment of the Saudis, I am generally happy to see the way that Donald Trump is leading his nation, against extremely vocal opposition, but don’t think that Mr. Trump is a saviour. He may give us a few more years of freedom, which we should use wisely, but he can’t stop God’s judgment against the world.
