Matthew 24 and the Rapture

Someone posted the following video in a rapture discussion group on Facebook, and since not everyone wants to be on Facebook I thought you might like to see this. Let me first warn you that the preacher here is a false teacher!

We are seeing false teachers multiply like flies these days.  Those who speak the truth are hard to come by!

This is a lie that will be prevalent after the Rapture! This will be the teaching of those preachers who are left behind! They have to or they would admit that they are not saved!

The next thing that will follow is the teaching that “God has removed the tares, and now we are to build the kingdom of God on earth, right now”! And they will build the kingdom of the Antichrist!

The kingdom of the Antichrist will be put together by people who profess themselves to be Christians! The teachings that will lead to this deception are already here right now, and are being taught in Christian Churches!

Here is an Old Testament pre-Tribulation rapture teaching, which Jesus is not addressing in Matthew 24;

18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen. 19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. 20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. 21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. Isaiah 26:18-21

The re-gathering of Israel is in verse 18; they are brought back to their “place of manufacture” like a defective product, where their manufacturer will repair their deficiencies, and discard those which cannot be fixed!

The resurrection of the righteous dead is in view in verse 19; These are only the saved, for they sing, and Isaiah himself anticipates being resurrected at this time! The resurrected lost have no reason to sing, but these, they are “His dead men”!

The rapture of the Church-Age saints is then in view in verse 20; They are called to their “chambers” in Heaven. These are the “mansions” Jesus mentioned in John 14:2

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

In verse 21 we have the Tribulation on earth, while the marriage supper of the Bride is going on in Heaven! The passage ends with the dead remaining unburied on the surface of the earth, which is a phenomenon which will occur all over the earth as the Lord brings judgment on those who took the mark of the Beast!

So what about the passage he is referring to, Matthew 24?

This is not referring to the Rapture at all; For one thing the verses 36-41 come at the end of His Last Days sermon. This would indicate that this is something else He is referring to, since the Rapture will occur before the age of Israel recommences. He had already referred to the angels gathering the elect in verse 31, which itself is not the rapture, either. The elect are being lifted into the atmosphere as destruction reigns down beneath them. I think this is a reference to the same event, at the end of the Tribulation.

These people are indeed saved on the earth, and will go into the Millennial Kingdom and repopulate the earth. They are Tribulation saints, who were saved after the rapture.  They are not raptured to God’s home, the third Heaven, but are only lifted up into the first Heaven, the earth’s atmosphere, near the end of the Tribulation.

Their rapture will occur at the end of the Millennial reign as judgment day for all humanity approaches.

The focus of Matthew 24 is the earth, and it does not mention the rapture at all. That subject is found in many other Scriptures.

No, there are many passages which speak of the pre-Tribulation rapture of the Church, but Satan is preparing his children to explain away the rapture, even today! Those like this pastor, who take Scripture out of context will end up participating in this deception!
