So finally, Theresa May has made a speech where she is promising to invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, the exit clause of the European Union, by March of next year, and be fully out of the EU by 2019.
Well, does this mean that the biblical End Times prophecies are now going to be postponed? Does this mean that the old Roman Empire is not being put together right now, and so all bets are off?
Personally, I think this is going to hasten the fulfilment of the bible’s End Times prophecies.
Dispensationalists have usually taught that the rise of the European Union is the revival of the Roman Empire, the ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, and the ten-nation confederacy of Revelation 17.
While Dispensationalism has certainly made some great strides in understanding biblical prophecy they have also made some mistakes. They are correct that there will be a literal 1,000 year reign of Christ, and a pre-Tribulation rapture of the saints, but they are wrong that there won’t be any signs before the rapture. The bible lists many of the signs which will occur before the rapture.
They are also wrong when they say that some people were saved by keeping the law during the age of Israel.
No one was ever saved by keeping the law.
Similarly they are wrong that the Roman Empire will be revived in the same form, or geographical area, it existed in the time of Christ.
The End Times Empire is indeed a continuation of the Roman Empire, but it will encompass the whole world, not merely a small part around the Mediterranean sea. The mindset of Rome has spread to the point that it is all over the world today, and it will be the cause of the nations of the world coming together in a global unity.
So wouldn’t Brexit serve to hinder the final form of the Roman Empire?
Actually, I think it will serve to hasten the Gog/Magog war of Ezekiel 38-39, and this war will serve as a cautionary tale, and a reason for the final push for global unity. In effect the global elites will say “Look what disunity caused; the greatest war humanity has ever seen! Surely now is the time to come together in global unity and to banish war for ever?”
They will blame the fact that humanity was not united as the cause of the Gog/Magog war, when in fact it is God who will bring those nations against Israel.
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Ezekiel 38:3-4
As I have explained in other articles, Meshech and Tubal were the patriarchs of Russia, where Meshech is the person places like Moscow were named after, and the city of Tobolsk and the Tubal river were named after Tubal, so it would appear that Gog will be the Russian leader, but who are the peoples who follow, in the Ezekiel account?
Togarmah is Turkey, and the Turkic tribes, also found in places like Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Gomer was Togarmah’s father, but he had two other sons; Ashkenaz and Riphath.
Ashkenaz was the father of the Germanic tribes, including Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Holland, France, and England.
Riphath was the father of the Celtic tribes, found in places like Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany in France, and Catalonia in Spain. An interesting side note is that the Welsh language, in their own tongue is known as Gemerad, a name containing the name of their Patriarch, Gomer. If this is the case, and it is, then what will become of Catalonia in Spain? “Gomer and all his bands” certainly includes Catalonia. Will they leave Spain and go the way of the other Celts?
Magog was the father of the Eastern European tribes such as the Czechs, Slovaks, Poles, Latvians, Lithuanians, Finns, and Hungarians, Georgians, and many other nations in Eastern Europe. It is known that the Finns and Hungarians were once one tribe, which separated into two groups, one going to the north and the other to the south central part of Europe. The Hungarian language is known as Magyr in their own tongue, which is a variation of the name of their Patriarch. Georgia also has the name “Gog” embedded in it.
Javan, the brother of Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Magog, was the father of the Southern European nations including the Greeks and the Italians, and probably also the Spanish and Portuguese. If you read the Ezekiel account you will see that Javan is not mentioned as an attacking nation in this war. This is because Southern Europe will not attack Israel at this time but will actually consider themselves protectors of both Israel and the Arabs.
The Southern Europeans will have brokered a peace treaty between Israel and the Arabs by this time, and they will not have any intentions of attacking. Rather this agreement will guarantee that they will protect Israel in the event of an attack, and this will ensure that they themselves are attacked at the same time the coalition attacks Israel!
The nations in the passage form a block from Ireland and the UK, in the West eastward to the borders of China, and down to Turkey and Iran in the South.
These nations do not need to be a part of the European Union for this war to occur. In fact, being a part of the EU would tend to hinder this surprise attack. The EU is notorious for NOT getting things done! In its present form, The EU is too much of a bureaucracy and any war action, like that found in Ezekiel 38-39, would result in weeks or months of public debate, rendering a surprise attack impossible!
No, the European Union is not found in its present form in the Ezekiel account, not at all!
In the Gog/Magog war the UK will align itself with Germany, Russia, Central Europe, Iran, Libya, and Turkey in a surprise attack against Israel, and Israel’s protectors!
Do you think that doesn’t sound like England? Is England a “good” nation?
The truth is that the UK has been hostile to Israel since they reneged on the Balfour declaration in the 1920s! Scotland and Ireland are some of the most antisemitic people on the planet! Add to this the fact that all of Northern Europe, from Russia to Ireland, has seen a rapid influx of Muslim immigrants in the last 30 years, and it becomes quite obvious that these groups will have an increasing political influence in their respective host nations in the next decade or two.
So what can we make of the current anti-immigrant, and anti-globalist sentiments gaining ground in Europe and the USA? Don’t the global elites control the media and thus public sentiment? They do, and I am sure the public hand-wringing of the global elites is merely an act. They actually want wars, and will use them to push for a global government.
In effect, after the Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38-39 wars, they will be telling us that it was nationalism, and religion, that caused these major disasters, and we have to set-aside our national sovereignty, and our faith, and join together to form a global government to prevent such events from occurring again! This would also explain why they have allowed Donald Trump to rise.
The problem is, of course, that once a true global government is in place, Armageddon will be just around the corner! That war will make these other wars look like child’s play!
