Just about everyone who has heard about the Brexit, is wondering how this fits into the biblical End Times prophetic scenario. Others remain blissfully ignorant.
Still others are rethinking their eschatological views. The picture below is a tongue-in-cheek poke at John Hagee, and Dispensationalism. The truth is that the bible does actually teach a pre-Tribulation rapture, but it does not teach everything that many Dispensationalists teach;
The truth is that we ought not to be looking at current events, and then attempt to fit them into the bible’s End Times Scenario, or to be adjusting our eschatology when things we didn’t forsee come to pass.
Either the bible is correct or it isn’t.
Well it is, but our understanding is always playing catch-up with God. No doubt He sets traps for those who lift themselves up rather than lifting up the Lord!
The way we should be approaching the subject is with an attitude of faith. We need to accept all the bible’s statements as true, with a plain-sense hermeneutic, and then look at current events to see if any of them line up with Scripture.
In all of this we need to remember that Satan is quite capable of setting traps himself, and that he has had some 6,000 years of practise! Satan does not control the fulfilment of prophecy, nor the future of the world, but he is capable of making people think that an event is something other than what it is in reality.
I predicted the European Union would disintegrate, and be replaced by at least 3 “daughter unions” in my book “The Spirit of Prophecy” written during the 2009-2010 time frame. To date nothing has occurred which would even require me questioning my conclusions back then. If anything, I am more convinced than ever that my understanding of the End Times Prophecies is correct.
The European Union will break-up. It is only a matter of time. Not only is the government in Brussels hopelessly out-of-touch with their subjects, but a united Europe does not fit in with the bible’s End Times scenario.
Well actually, a united Europe could fit with the End Times scenario, but likely doesn’t. Before the Tribulation comes upon the world there are two major conflicts that must occur, the Psalm 83 war, and the Ezekiel 38-39 war. It is in the latter war which a united europe does not fit.
For one thing the southern Europeans are not mentioned in that war. While the account specifically mentions “Gomer and all his bands”, his brother Javan is not mentioned at all. Javan is the father of the southern European nations, specifically Greece and Italy.
Greece and Italy will be an important part of the Gog/Magog war, not because they will be a part of the invasion, but because they will have a mutual defense treaty with Israel at the time! They will be objects of the invasion, on the side of Israel!
Since the foundation of Israel in 1948 world leaders have been attempting to immortalize themselves by sponsoring some sort of peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians. So far they have all failed! They won’t succeed until the leader of the Southern European Union does so, in the aftermath of the Psalm 83 war!
Unfortunately for him, this agreement will identify the leader of the Southern European Union as the Antichrist, in the minds of many professing Christians around the world, and especiallly in Europe! This erroneous identification will seal his fate, and will lead to his destruction, along with the pope, during the Gog/Magog war.
You see, if the Southern European Union has a mutual-defense treaty with Israel, then the attacking armies will know that in order for them to defeat Israel they will have to neutralize Israel’s guarantor first! So I expect that the attack on Rome will occur simultaneously with the attack on Israel.
And, the motivation of the attacking armies? Well, it is spelled out in Ezekiel 38
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, 12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
While the attack on the southern Europeans is not spelled out in Scripture, it is there, implied in what is, and what is not said. The motivation to attack their brothers in the south? Since most of the nations listed (with the exception of the Turks, Libya and Iran) are professing Christian nations, some will believe they are attacking the Antichrist, and saving the world!
So what is Brexit? It is the beginning of the realignment of nations to fit the Biblical End Times scenario. It is “stage setting” for the events of the End Times. It is not, however, the final realignment, but a preliminary realignment which will lead to the major events of the End Times.
I expect Brexit will be closely followed by Nexit, Swexit, Frexit, and Grexit!
As you might expect there is a lot of commentary to study today;

Hi Dan,
Although many would think globalist type Superstates would be in Vogue during the end times warm up we’re in, populist/nationalist movements seem to be emboldened while celebrating the Brexit black swan event!
While not endorsing the site, redefininggod.com recently released parts 12 and 13 of, “Globalist Agenda Watch 2016”.
It presents articles taken from the headlines themselves that infer this break up is to plan and not some slip up.
The author suggests that the elimination of the Superstates combined with a reformed UN would give the illusion of sovereignty respect, but that the smaller nations would then need UN help when big trouble comes.
I found it on point…compelling and food for thought… a worthwhile read whether I agreed with the whole or not. I believe it adds to your discussion here.
Brent.
