I was recently listening to a couple of Crosstalk shows with Jim Schneider interviewing Soren Kern, from Gatestone institute, on the subjects of the Islamization of Europe and the Islamization of America. These were very informative shows, and I did learn quite a bit, even though I have been following the issue quite closely for years.

One thing I did not know, is that the current crisis in Europe can be traced back to the end of World War 2. Germany did not have enough men to run their factories, as a result of the carnage of the war. Most of their men were either dead, or in prison, or had fled. As a result they brought in large numbers of Turks to fill the void.

This was originally intended that this would be a temporary situation, but they stayed.

It may come as a surprise to many that this is not the only time in history that this situation has occurred. In fact it has occurred repeatedly all over the globe, even in places like Israel.

God’s solution for times when this would occur, rather than to import men who will bring in their own false worship system, such as Baal worship, or Islam, was that women would double-up on their men.

This is why there are numerous passages in the Old Testament, with laws and stories relating to the practise of polygamy. (Exodus 21:7-11, Deuteronomy 21:15-17,  II Samuel 12:8, God Himself has two wives in Jeremiah 3) He did this for the protection of the nation of Israel and because;

For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. Isaiah 45:18

You see, God loves people. He wants the earth to be full of them, and even though He knows that the majority will reject Him, the more people there are, the greater the number of people there will be who turn to Him for Salvation! God lust after the souls of men and women! (James 4:5)

God also says;

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? II Corinthians 6:14

You see it would have been better for Germany to have allowed the men they had to marry 4 or 5 women each, and to wait 20 years for their children to rebuild their economy, than to import hundreds of thousands of infidels, who do not believe in the God of the Bible.

The truth is that Germany, as a nation, had stopped believing the bible some time in the 1800s, so they did not realize the problems they were bringing upon themselves by doing this. They still don’t!  Of course the problem goes much further back than the 1800s.

The Lutheran Church, like the Baptists and Presbyterians, have retained many of the Traditions of the Roman Church, among which is the prohibition of polygamy. Rather than believing the commands of Scripture, they read their own traditions into Scripture.

As I researched this topic, I was surprised to learn that polygamy was prohibited in the Roman Empire, except in one place…Israel! In fact it was also prohibited in the Greek Empire as well!

So, what it amounts to, is that Christians who declare polygamy to be sin, are saying that the Gentile Empires of Greece and Rome were more righteous than Israel! Nothing could be further from the truth!

When Jesus spoke about the Leaders of Israel He never once declared their interpretation of the Law to be wrong. Rather, here is what He did say;

All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. Luke 23:3

Their interpretation of the Law was correct, but they themselves did not obey it. Of course Salvation has never come from obedience to the Law, but He was not addressing Salvation at this point, only the interpretation of the Law of Moses. It is a historical fact that Israel did interpret the Law that it was legal for a man to marry more than one woman, at that time. It was only in the middle ages that Jewish leaders succumbed to pressure from the Catholic Church, to forbid polygamy.

What do you think Israel did when a half million men were killed in a war with Judah?

And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men. II Chronicles 13:17

With a natural birth rate of roughly 50/50 male/female, (the natural birth rate is slightly in favour of male children with about 502 boys born for every 498 girls) this war left a half million women without a man. Since many men married younger women, many of the women left behind were teens, who had never even been married yet.

Without a moral solution to the problem, this situation would lead to widespread immorality and sin throughout the nation. The women left without a mate would resort to prostitution, affairs, and taking men from their wives! They couldn’t even go to neighbouring nations because those nations were always warring and perpetually had the same problem as Israel; a shortage of men!

We know from history what those nations did; they allowed polygamy. This was the case even throughout Europe as well, until Rome came along! This allowed every woman to have her own husband and children. It gave each woman a legitimate place in society, and provided support for her in her old age.  She could have children without being a harlot!

People who insist that polygamy is wrong are actually hard hearted people who have no concern for the large numbers of women who would grow old without children!  Most of them have never even thought about these issues.  I urge you do do so today!

The bible even speaks of this same problem as a result of the greatest war in human history, Armageddon!

3:24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty. 25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war. 26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground. 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach. 2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. 3 And it shall come to pass, that he that isleft in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. Isaiah 3:24-4:4

The war in Isaiah 3:24-26is not a past war, but Armageddon. While the passage primarily concerns Israel, the situation it describes will affect every nation on earth. Every army who attacks Israel will be 100% destroyed, and the armies of Israel who fight the Antichrist will themselves be decimated!

The survivors on both sides in this war will be 100% believers, and mostly women, and girls!

Look at verse 4:1. What is it when a woman takes a man’s name? This is a description of marriage! These women are not asking for illicit affairs, because of the next verse! Yes, polygamy will be practised in Israel and around the world in the early years of the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ!

Who is “the branch of the Lord”?

I know most of my readers already know this, but for those who are new, the term “the branch” is a reference to the Messiah of Israel, the Lord Jesus Christ!

The era in question here is the time immediately after Armageddon is over, when the world is being set-up for the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ, when He has returned and is ruling from Jerusalem!

Yes, polygamy will be practised in Israel, and around the world, in the early years of the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ!

Polygamy is God’s solution to the sin of war. He does this out of His mercy towards women, towards families, and towards nations. He does this because He wants to fill the earth with children! And, He does this because it is He who put the desire to have a husband and children in the hearts of women! He wouldn’t do this if there was no legitimate way for them to fulfil these desires!

One last thing. This policy of the Lord is in direct contrast to the policy of the Antichrist, as revealed in Daniel 11:36-37

36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.  37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

The king here is the Antichrist, the Beast, and he will take over the world in a situation very much like the situation when Jesus will take over: after a major, devastating war. The difference is that He will react in the exact opposite way; he will be an Arab, from an Islamic background, and he will prohibit polygamy in the areas under his control!

The professing Christians of the world will unite behind this man, precisely because of this policy, because they have forgotten God’s teaching on this matter, and have swallowed Rome’s Kool-Aid!

That’s right. The Catholics and Protestants of the world will unite behind this man because they do not accept the biblical teaching on this matter!
