While sometimes being a “big picture” kind of guy, and other times getting bogged down by the little details, I have come to realize that it is the details that come together to form the big picture.

The bible itself has both big-picture prophecies, and many small prophetic details that fit within one or another big picture, and they are not necessarily placed in order, although they can be. It is this lack of order that makes the study of biblical End Times prophecies an impossible task, without the help of the Holy Spirit.

I keep on encountering prophecy teachers who are still teaching that the Gog/Magog war will occur during the Tribulation period, and others who teach that pope Francis is the false prophet of the book of Revelation.

Still others are teaching that the EU is the revived Roman Empire and is the ten nation confederacy of Revelation 17. and the ten horns of Daniel 7:7.

All of these teachings are wrong and dangerous!

King Nebuchadnezar’s dream of Daniel 4 was of a tree which grew up to the heavens and covered the whole earth. In verse 22 Daniel said that Nebuchadnezzar’s dominion went to the ends of the earth.

Of course Nebuchadnezzar’s empire did not go to the ends of the earth, and did not even go to the ends of the known world at that time. Was Daniel just flattering Nebuchadnezzar? I don’t think so.

Nebuchadnezzar’s empire’s sovereignty was transferred to the Medo/Persian empire, and then to the Greek empire, and lastly this same empire was transferred to the Romans. These transfers are all seen several times in the book of Daniel. You might think they are different empires, because the administration was by people of different nationalities, but I don’t think so.

The same basic character of all of these empires is the same, only it was decaying as it went, to the point that the last one is the harshest and cruelest of them all.

Daniel’s statement to Nebuchadnezzar was actually prophetic; Nebuchadnezzar’s empire will end up being a world-wide empire that does indeed encompass the whole globe.

I don’t believe the Roman Empire ever left us; it has always been represented by the mindset of the European leaders and elites.

No doubt the European Union is an attempt of these elites to reform the Roman Empire, but they have no intention of stopping at Europe. The EU is only a step towards their ultimate goal which is a world government.

The 1974 book by the Club of Rome, Mankind at the Turning Point, by Mihajlo Mersarovic and Eduard Pestel, stated, among other things, that they intend to unite the world’s nations into ten regional governments, and then to form a world government from these ten nations.

I am convinced that this is the fulfilment of the ten nations of Revelation 17

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

You see, the kingdoms of these ten kings are new kingdoms in the last days. They are not kingdoms that existed in the day the bible was written. Greece is not one of these ten kingdoms. Italy is not one of these kingdoms, and neither is Germany.

The ten kingdoms of Revelation 17 are ten super-states which will be formed just before the Tribulation begins, and they will encompass the whole world.

As it says they “receive power as kings one hour with the beast”, meaning that they are contemporary nations which rise up with the Beast himself, during his lifetime. They will not be in existence for hundreds of years before the Beast is born.

Will these ten nations form the following the exact same borders envisioned by the Club of Rome? I doubt it, but I also think that their plan will come to fruition in much the way that they envision, for a time.

NAFTA could very well be one of the ten kingdoms in view here. A South American Union could well be another, and an African Union is already in the works as well.

Could Russia be another of these super-nations? I am not sure, but it is likely that after their defeat during the Gog/Magog war, that Russia could well become a part of a larger state, which could include some of the nations of the former Soviet Union, such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, etc.

What abut Europe?

My interpretation of the regionalization of the World as envisioned by the Club of Rome in 1974

In “Mankind at the Turning Point” on page 38, figure 4-1, there is a map of the world, showing the ten nations they envision to form their world government. In this map all of Europe is included as one nation, and the Soviet Union as another.  What they missed is that Magog does not want to be swallowed up by either western Europe, or by Russia, and will form their own super-state.

So, what of Brexit?

Today there is a lot of discontentment in the EU, and several other nations are ganging up on Germany. Germans themselves are getting tired of constantly bailing out nations who cannot keep control of their spending.  If Angela Merkel was removed as Chancellor of Germany, a replacement government could well have their own Germexit vote!

There is going to be an Italian referendum on whether or not to keep using the Euro;

What if the European Union falls apart? Will the plans of the elites fall by the wayside? I don’t think so.

I think the EU falling apart will actually enable biblical prophecy to be fulfilled to the letter. It will also enable a great delusion; the delusion that the Tribulation here now, when the Church is still on earth, and then that the Tribulation is over!

This would indeed be a delusion because the bible does indeed teach that the rapture of the true believers will occur BEFORE the Tribulation begins!

So many biblical prophecy teachers are teaching that the EU is the revived Roman Empire, but they will change their tune when it falls apart and is replaced by smaller unions of its constituent nations. You know for a fact that if one of those sub-unions contains ten nations that bible prophecy teachers will jump all over it claiming that it is the kingdom of the Antichrist, especially if its capital city is Rome, Italy!

But that’s Satan’s plan! He has been working very hard to lead people to that conclusion long before it actually occurs. This way they can claim to have understood prophecy all along, and when Rome is destroyed during the Gog/Magog war, they will claim that Revelation 18 is fulfilled, Armageddon is over, and Babylon the Harlot has been destroyed!

This is why many prophecy teachers claim that the events of the Tribulation will mainly occur in Europe and the Middle East.  In fact these are world-wide events!

You see the next thing on the prophetic agenda, after the destruction of the Antichrist’s city, is the return of Jesus Christ and the beginning of the Millennial reign. So, if you see something that you interpret as being the Tribulation, you could easily be tricked into believing that someone else is here “in the spirit of Christ” to take over the world and set up the Millennial kingdom!

This is exactly what will happen, and Europe could well be united again after the Gog/Magog war, (the central Europeans will form their own union, Magog, but that’s another story). The elites may well use that war as a cautionary tale about what happens when we are not united. So the world’s nations will unite to prevent another catastrophe like the Gog/Magog war. In doing so they will set the stage for the Great Tribulation.
